Statistics
Race: Kelvic (Kodiak Bear, Brown)
Age: 5 Born 504 AV
Gender: Male

Physical Description
Human Form:
Montis is a bear of a man, literally. At the overwhelming height of 6'8 ft Montis towers over everyone. While he is not overly muscular it is obvious he has quite a great deal of strength. He has a fully grown beard that reaches his barrel chest, and hair that reaches just a little bit farther. His hair color is a dark brown and he has gold/brown eyes. Among many numerous smaller scars, Montis has one large one right across his face that usually draws the eye. He is also missing a large chunk of his right ear, although this is hard to see because of his long hair. If one were to ask him how he got all of his scars he will simply respond, "Hunting."

Bear Form:
In bear form Montis stands at 4'8 ft to the shoulders on all four paws and standing on his two hind legs reaches 9'9 ft. Many of his scars are more clearly seen when he changes into bear form. His body is riddled with fur-less patches that work as a memorial to the countless scrapes with wild animals he had when with the Trapper. The scars often have a rather intimidating affect on people, though it might just be the fact that they're looking at a now fully grown bear.

Personality/Concept
Montis is a very stoic person, and a man of few words. Very rarely he says anything at all and simply replies in nondescript grunts or monosyllable words. Trying to get a full sentence out of him would be a waste of time. Its not that he's lacking in intelligence, its just how he is. Little is known about Montis and his beliefs because of this. Emotions do not play across his face like they would for other people. Sadness, excitement, surprise, and even anger are hard to notice unless one is either trained at seeing the signs or happens to know Montis very well.

His motives are simply to find another bondmate, though how hes going to do this is unknown. It looks like he simply plans on traveling until the fateful encounter.

Clothing
Montis wears a fur mantle, which has the head of a wolf on its right side. He also wears a pair of leather and fur pants, that has a series of leather straps running around it. Because the need may arise for Montis to change to a bear in a few seconds, both articles of clothing have a simple buckle that when undone literally lets the clothing fall of. The buckle for the pants is on the side, and the buckle for the mantle is on the back. When hunting with his first bondmate, Montis often left in his bear form. However when they went to Syliras to sell his wears the tracker would worry that someone might try to steal his furs, his only means of income, so he made both articles in this fashion. He also wears a leather bag with a long enough strap to fit even when he changes into a bear. He has a large set of saddle bags on the strap of his leather bag, allowing him more carrying space, given to him by the tracker to carry skins and furs on long trips into the wildlands.

History
His first bondmate, the one he had been sold to only a few months after he was born was a trapper and fur trader who lived in a cabin in the wood in wild lands near the city of Syliras. The trapper taught him most of what he knows, and even showed him the basics of the craft. Montis in turn was used as a hunting dog might have been. There were many a time Montis ended up scaring off wild animals, and sometimes he had to go as far as providing an excuse for such creatures to flee. Only a year has past since the trapper died, and Montis was left to fend for himself. A distant cousin of the Tracker claimed ownership of the cabin Montis and the tracker had lived in and everything in it. Using what little money the tracker had given him, Montis was able to buy back some of the items within. A spear, whose point was made with the bone of the the first animal that Montis had killed. A mantle made from the fur of a wolf that was was to tattered to sell on the market. A skinning knife which the tracker had given to Montis for practice. And finally a fur bag, which had a long enough strap to fit on Montis in either human or bear form, and which Montis carried his clothing and strapped his spear to when he traveled in his bear form.

The Kelvic was mournful at the loss, though few would be able to see it through his rarely changing expression. Still, the impersonal relationship that he had had with the Trapper was enough to keep him from being paralyzed with grief like most other who bonded as early as he had. After the cabin had been sold and he had been forced to leave, Montis had no trouble finding work as a laborer or a mercenary at the the town the trapper often went to sell the fur he had prepared, being nearly fully grown at 6'5. It also helped that he could turn into a rather large bear, which made things like heavy lifting and guarding things a great deal easier.

For a year Montis lived like this, and for a year he grew in both body and mind. Though still young enough to be a child in humans eyes, Montis had the mind and body of an adult. He had grown tired of the life he led, and though he did not express it, lonely without a bondmate. Living solely for himself was not enough and left Montis feeling empty. So Montis bought some supplies, including everything he would need to make and repair leather articles, a whetstone, and some food and left.
