Player vs Player - Has it happened yet?

I've always wondered, has any PVP taken place yet?

Exactly how does it work?

I'd be very interested in seeing it, if it has.

I know i've been involved in a couple threads where we said "hey, we're gonna fight. Let's see what happens.", but we essentially agreed it wouldn't result in anything too terrible happening to our PCs and obviously it was a friendly match.

PvP can happen in MIzahar, I think the main thing that stops people from honestly going around trying to kill others is that the only people who probably could kill other PCs very easily are the ones who have spent many months developing and role playing their character. Not only does this give you a sense of "why would I want to take away all that time from someone", but at the same time you're risking your own character whom you've worked hard to build up.

We're working on some PvP guidelines.
No one has killed anyone else yet that they didn't have permission to do so.
I've seen a few meatshield threads where folks have died.
I've threatened to kill a few players but never have.
Someday I might.

I imagine it works the same way it works in real life except text is a lot cleaner and neater better smelling and no one really truly gets hurt. Well, ulness you love your PC and they die.. then that would really really suck.

Yes I am very interested in this concept as well. Most of the forums I've played
in had a dice roll system, for the simple fact that most people will refuse to kill their characters. Sometimes it is harder for those that rp evil characters, because when put in certain situations where they would normally end a life, they can not and are forced to change who their character is. I play in
Ravok and the atmosphere of the city would lead one to believe killing happens
all the time, just not in the eye of the public. It would actually be nice to
have some guidelines in a thread based community. Thank you.
