Rohnn's feet were now drowning in multiple layers of snow; smothered in the cloudy substance that managed to bring beauty to such a savage task. Snow, in many ways, was like women. With their beauty, they consume everything, attempting to control the entire world with it. When they are unable to control they become bitter, enveloping everything they touch with a harsh chill that freezes it over. Take water for example, nothing can control it's flow; you can divert it but never take control. Snow sees this and attempts to stop it by freezing the very nature of the liquid. However Rohnn, like many men towards women, admired it for it's determination and elegance. Viewing the very essence of it's being as a majestic masterpiece on the endless canvas of life. Walking, he heard yelps and screams that sounded like a distress call. He listened intently, trying to map the area of the nearby forestry with the sound of the creature; at least that's what he reassured himself. Hesitation was not an option in such situations. After running, he approached the animal; a wolf caught in a hunter's trap. The trap had sent a wooden spine straight through one leg and it had found its way through the other end with, what seemed great ease. "Good. No muscles hit." The ape sighed in relief, cautiously attempting to calm the animal. He pulled the spine out slowly, hearing the creature cry out in pain as his other hand pinned the body down. Whimpering, the wolf seemed to be in a lot of pain despite the lack of fatal damage. He took up some long leafs, gathering berries and searching his pack for herbs. He knew little of medicine but, through reading, he was getting better. He took out a book, a pestle and mortar and began crushing the ingredients. Part of his training had been with healing and he was more than used to tending minor injuries. On his travels of past he would help attacked merchants and villagers, aid towns in times of sickness and often treat people of his own clan; with the help of the other members, of course. Once the solution was fully liquefied, he smothered it smoothly along the large leaf. The leaf itself was known to have antibiotic attributes whilst the mixture would tend to the aid of closing the wound. Rohnn lifted the beast's leg slowly as it howled for mercy. "It's okay little one. It'll all be better soon" The wolf's eyes widened as it noted the ape-like humanoid's compassion. He sighed lightly while Rohnn applied the make-shift bandage to his wound. Tying the knot, Rohnn stroked the creature with a large leathery hand. He grinned "Ah, perfect! Good as new!" Rohnn laughed in joy, clapping, before turning to walk away. |
