Dhatzu Basic Information Race:Human (Lhavitian) Birthday & Age : 23 Day of Spring, 493 AV (18 years old) Gender: Male Physical Description At 5'9",Dhatzu possesses a lean muscled frame, better suited to agility and quickness that brute force. His face is cresting from boyhood to manhood, the sharpness of more mature features taking shape in his cheekbones and strong jaw. His eyes are dark and observant, his hair black and kept short. His deeper toned skinned, inherited from his mother, already bears numerous scars, some from training, some from his numerous treks into the mountains. Between his shoulders is a black triangle, the mark of Akajia, the Goddess of Night. Character Concept Largely introverted, Dhatzu has made only a few friends among his fellow acolytes, though one on one he can be rather personable. Having entered the training for the Shinya to follow in his parents footsteps, Dhatzu bagan faithful to Zintila, and proudly serving her in anticipation of becoming one of her Shinya. But as he approaches manhood, his heart is drawn to the more mysterious and alluring world of secrets and shadows, spurred by an affinity to the Akajia, who marked him while still a teenager. Dhatzu has never revealed to anyone why the Goddess of Night chose him. The Goddess of Night gave him the ability to see in the dark and to speak with shadows. Though he does not publicly reveal these gifts, is is suspected by many that he has supernatural abilities, and anyone familiar with Akajia's gnosis would recognize the mark, given the chance to see it. His eccentric behavior unnerves many and keep associates at a distance. His practice of meditating in the shadows and disappearing into the dark only add to his peculiar reputation. In reality, Dhatzu is an excellent keeper of secrets, as it pleases Akajia. Those few who have trusted Dhatzu have found him to have a willing ear and tight lips.

Character History Dhatzu was born the second son of Ohne and Shiani, both members of the Shinya. Their first son Ghanu, was killed at a the age of nine from a trecherous fall. Dhatzu was present, then only seven years old. His parents could not get the younger son to explain the events that lead to Ghanu's fatal fall, a fact that has cast a reluctant suspicion over the boy to this day. After Ghanu's death Ohne and Shiani dealt with their remaining son at a distance, not denying him their love, but maintaining a disengagement that left Dhatzu feeling empty. Their household was a place of formality and tradition. The boy, as was tradition, became an acolyte of the Shinya to follow in his parents footsteps. Naturally introverted, distanced from his parents and plagued by the stigma surrounding his brother's death, Dhatzu turned to find solace in quiet shadows. His affinity for dark places, and the secrets he overheard in them, earned him not only the suspicion of others, but the attention of the Goddess of Night. Dhatzu's obsession with discovering the location of the lost temple where Zintila gave the first Lhavitians the gift of Akarni attracted the attention of Akajia whom, upon Dhatzu's discovery of the hidden cavern, bestowed her mark of Night Stalking upon the teenager. Dhatzu's sponsor, Aleto, was a one time rival of his father for his mother's hand, and Aleto and Ohne still find themselves at odds.
