Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

The 43rd Day of the season of Winter, Year 509 AV
Near the entrance of the Aylasa Caves...

Stellos lowered his head, sniffing the ground and searching for anything that may spark his interest. This task was more than enough to occupy his thoughts. Mounted atop the steed, Gortimir envied the simplistic life his horse enjoyed as his head swam with thoughts and searched for direction. Though the zavian below him knew exactly what his plans encompassed at the moment, the Isur finally surrendered to asking himself the question that had been taunting him for some time now: What am I doing here?

The cave entrance was too overgrown for Gortimir's tastes. He preferred to observe the natural rock formations in their pure beauty as opposed to the softer view his eyes were settling upon. Regardless, he found himself trying to be distracted once more from the questions that were nagging at him. Stellos let out a gust of air resembling a sigh. Nodding in concurrence, the Isur let out his own. This was his 43rd birthday. He was alone, which did not particularly bother him, but he felt lost. No matter how he proceeded or where he moved on from here the fact was that he needed to collect himself and make progress. He was young and had his entire life in front of him and Gortimir Strongfield would not let himself succumb to weakening thoughts or confusion. Izurdin would not approve and that thought alone prompted Gortimir to pull Stellos from his work and refocus on what was at hand.

A new start was waiting for him. Gortimir was not far from Syliras and though the city itself did not quite appeal to his interests, he was smart enough to realize that any town of that size would afford him opportunities. With a squint of his eyes, the Isur became curious as to exactly what opportunities he would discover this day.
