TimeThe 4th Day of Spring, 511AV Pied book spines peeked out from their shelved homes to say hello as the currents jostled them around. Miana was finding it difficult to keep her long black locks out of her face in lieu of the ebbing tide. Fish were concerning themselves with swimming up her dress while her aged fetter held her ancient grimoire tightly to her side like an overgrown leash, among other annoyances. Buckled shoes buried into the sand of the ocean floor, she staring onward into the murky deep investigating for any signs of a sorting system. “No semblance of order,” glugged she, harrumphing while doing her best to rid her kirtle and sleeves from floating upward. The torn stockings and gauntlet sleeves did well to keep her pale flesh covered, but the aggravation was enough to ignite a flame behind those violet eyes. Yet after multitudes of searching, there was the treasure she had most hoped for: the exploits of “Admonius” on, “Worlds Beyond Worlds.” Carefully, deftly, ardently, fervently: she reached. “Aquiras, we remember you still,” she whispered affectionately, closing her eyes and clasping hold of the chain which bound her to her skill. “With every word, every coordinate that I memorize, I retain the memory of a brighter time. So long as you are bound, so are we.” Deadly curiosity piqued, the girl lovingly cradled the book and read the first chapter’s title aloud with great enthusiasm, the low-level cryptography hardly a deterrence. “Anashis…let us begin…”
