A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

For merchants, entering the Ravok is not as easy as they may like. There are numerous hoops that they must hop through in order to gain clearance for passage. While this is mainly done to maintain control over what goes in and out of the city, it also has the tendency to cause a bit of conflict, strife and chaos on varying levels among merchants. This is fine with the city government and the Black Sun. Thus, positioned around the Southern Trading Post is a collection of wagons, tents and makeshift storage areas belonging to merchants of all kinds. While some may gain quick entry into the city, many more will have to wait sometimes weeks to get in. This has brought about the creation of the, The Bazaar. The Bazaar is a collection of merchants who peddle their wares rather than let them spoil while they wait to get in to Ravok. A variety of goods may be purchased in the Bazaar however most of what is sold is perishable foodstuffs.

The merchants themselves vary nearly as much as the goods they sell with certain ones being more prominent than others. For example, there is Bort the Fruit Merchant who specializes in fresh fruits and vegetables. Bort is a middle-aged man with a calm demeanor that barely hides the frustration of always having to wait at least a week to get his goods into the city. While one may think this would discourage him enough to keep him away, Bort continues to supervise a consistent shipment of fresh fruits and vegetables each week. Usually half of his shipments make it into the city while the other half remains outside for others to benefit from.

Another prominent merchant in The Bazaar is Calidane, the Meat Merchant. While being able to get the majority of his goods into the city and sold before spoiling, Calidane maintains a moderate presence in The Bazaar selling fresh beef, pork and fish. He owns a couple of good-sized farms not far from the Trading Post and is able to maintain a somewhat steady supply of goods to the area. Calidane is a balding man of advancing years with a gruff demeanor who is all about business.
