Basic Information

Race: Akalak
Birthday & Age: 31, 19th day of spring
Gender: Male

Physical Description
Saison’s skin is grey with a bluish tint to it. He has a very intimidating appearance being very tall, as an Akalak, standing at 7 foot 3 and boasting rock hard muscles. He has a heavy and strong build.
Character Concept
He tends to hold back, and is keen on not bonding with others. He has issues trusting anyone and everyone, no matter what their status. He is quick to judge and does not care for the slightest of incompetence, nor idiocy (often making fun of those who are so). Due to his kind’s ability to have a split personality, he tends to more often than not show symptoms of narcissism. Despite all this, he most certainly isn’t foolish or dumb. He is determined and passionate but can sometimes be rash. He has a serious personality, with his humour not going beyond any sort of silliness. The thing he respects most, if anything, is honour.
Character History
Saison had a pretty normal childhood as an Akalak, in Kenash. He was generally the most successful of his generation and four siblings ( one older brother, and three smaller). Every one of his peers looked up to him like an older brother, even his older brother. He was the one who helped someone when they were trapped. He was the one who rescued the helpless. He loved the feeling of being a hero, and he would often share this with his smaller brother, Sorien Saison.

The two were inseparable. Despite the fact that Saison was so popular among his kin, he always found time for Sorien. Any day, they would be found, Saison telling Sorien a story about how great he was that day, and how happy his life was. Sorien would just stand there with the same smile every day listening to Saison chatter. Sorien was much different to Saison in the sense that he was terrible. He never did pass his Rite of Trial and so was looked down upon as a failure. Nevertheless, he was an easy going boy who always loved being around Saison. Well, he appeared to.

Worrying aspects started to pop up in Sorien as the seasons went by. He seemed to keep failing and failing, but all the while seemed to be happier and happier. Saison confronted him on this, but he always replied he was fine, and so they would go on with their daily routine. Saison talking about how great his life was, and Sorien, of whom’s wasn’t, just listening.

One night, when the household seemed fast asleep, Saison bolted upright. He had no idea why, there was no loud noise nor did he have a bad dream. But for some reason, he felt like he wasn’t alone in his room. He stepped out of bed and took one step, before being tackled down by something. It held a knife to his throat, snarling in an almost feral voice screaming “Die! Just die!” Saison kicked it off him and without hesitation stepped on it’s neck, then snapped it. He fell back to his bed breathing heavily. He composed himself and looked back, only to find the body of Sorien on the floor, blood pouring out his mouth, knife in his withered grasp.

Not much is to be said about that day. There was nothing left for him there at is hometown. He killed his brother. His brother the murderer, but nonetheless his brother. So he left. He was young, he didn’t where he was going, or what he was trying to find, but he just left. He felt this need for vengeance and blood but didn’t know what to do with it. He killed his brother, surely that would be enough. It was like a gaping whole inside of him, and still is to this day.

He found himself in Sunberth, spending the next few years of his life as a young assassin, being taken in by a guild. He continued the art of unarmed combat from where he left off at a young age, to kill his enemies (or what he was told were his enemies). He channelled his need for vengeance, to make him more determined in getting better at the skill.

The problem with killing, although seeming to fill the whole temporarily within him, it just came back more empty than before. This was when he left the guild (a very hard thing to do) in search for a new answer.

He turned towards Magic, tattooing mystic symbols into his head. Reimancy, more specifically, at a school. It calmed his mind, and took it away from his darker split personality to his lighter one. It set his mind on overcoming an obstacle, rather than violence. He once saw it as power when learning it firstly. That was a mistake. He still caries the scar to this day, to remind him that Reimancy isn’t a toy of destruction, but an art of war. Even though this magic takes away part of him every time it is used, requiring the user to rest afterward, the weakness, although still there, felt more numb. It was because it felt like the Reimancy was taking from his whole, rather than his actual body and soul.

Although all this effort to turn tail from violence, he cannot seem to escape it. It is like a drug, a quick and definite way of filling the hole inside of him. He still wears his assassin attire as feels more comfortable being concealed in it, along with his favourite scarf from his childhood, used to conceal the rest of his face.
