Ossifrage of the Brazen Moon
The Bone Breaker

Image

Race: Lammergeier Kelvic
D.O.B & Age: Winter, Day 36, Year 505. 5 Years Old.
Gender: Male

Physical Description
He stands at 6’ 5” and weighs approximately 200 pounds. Whilst his features are framed with strands of black long hair which falls to his shoulders, it can often be seen that his colouring has a few flashes of bronze within it at the same time, seeming almost darkly metallic in certain lights. His eyes are a pale green, almost emerald in hue, which have a distanced stare to them, rarely closing as he looks upon the latest object of his fascination. With a dark bronze appearance to his skin, Ossifrage looks much like his Lammergeier forms colouring. His facial features are neither broad nor narrow, his jaw squared but softened by a slight curve to his cheeks, that then trail outwards to his cheekbones, above which sit two fairly small, rounded eyes.
His physical frame upon which this head sits is generally lean and muscular, his days hunting for prey and sustenance keeping his body toned, while his meals of bone marrow ensure he does not overfeed himself and become enlarged due to his intake. His shoulders are broad and straight, bearing arms that would not look out of place on a small tree. To hold up this rather large frame, his body is equipped with two large legs that power his forward momentum, allowing him to charge towards potential prey with powerful bursts of movement. Upon his left breast, he bears the tattoo of a decorated crescent moon, symbolising the family of he and his brother, which counters the long, large scratch symbol upon his right breast that is the mark given him by the Goddess Myri.

His Lammergeier form is mostly unremarkable from others of the species, with the lower part of his form being garbed in a dark bronzelike colour, and the upper part, mostly the back of his wings, being draped in almost pure black. Around his head, and towards the beak, his feathers become paler, drifting off to a white hue before being greeted once more by black in the form of his dark beak, which seems to extend the colour to around his eyes, which are perfectly circular, red upon the outer rim, with a central circle of dull yellow, which then spirals around an obsidian dot to make up the pupil and finish off the eyes. His wingspan is a little above average for a Lammergeier, possibly due to his human forms rather large size, standing at possibly twelve feet at a stretch if fully extended, whereas his weight is somewhere close to 11kg, making it a very large variant of the species. In flight, like all his species, he is silent, although this seems to be amplified by his human nature for observation and lack of understanding, making him a deadly silent hunter in the skies.

Character Concept
Personality: Ossifrage can be likened to a functioning autistic, in the way that he views and perceives the world. His persona is very much detached from all he sees around him, tending to remain impassive, except for his strong sense of curiosity and desire to understand how the things around him work.
Ethics: Given his detached view of the world around him, Ossifrage’s concepts of ‘ethics’ are skewed to say the least, as he tends not to differentiate between the concepts labelled ‘good’ and ‘evil’.
Likes: Bones, Understanding, Pain, His Brother.
Dislikes: Unsated Curiosity and Closed Spaces.

Character Background
Ossifrage was born to two kelvic parents, his mother being a Mouse Kelvic and his father being a Ferret Kelvic. The very fact they had given birth to not one, but two predatory bird kelvics in the form of both Ossifrage and his younger brother, Orrikahn was something of a cause for alarm, to say the very least. This natural instinct inbred into the two young Kelvics, coupled with the lack of understanding that Ossifrage had of boundaries and limitations, came to a head shortly after his first year of life, just after his brother was born.
Given that his parents were unable to soar the skies, as they did not have the gift of flight, it was up to Ossifrage to teach his younger brother how to fly and to hunt. The thought of their two children hunting what they could effectively call their kind was something that their kelvic parents were hesitant to see fully happen, yet to earn their keep within Taloba, they fully knew that everyone must pull their weight, regardless of the cost.
There had been several of those nightly excursions before things culminated in a short, brutal event that set Ossifrage and Orrikahn upon their current paths. Whilst their parents had bade them stay within the confines of their makeshift home, and left to go on their own hunt in their animal forms, they had disobeyed this order, at the insistence of Orrikahn who was eager to feel the rush of the hunt once more, and the air beneath his wings.
Their hunt was short lived, as they discovered their prey only moments later, a prey that should have been avoided, yet their instincts were powerful, their ethics were few, and their hunger was great. Swooping down upon the prey, it was Orrifrage who took the ferret in a single swoop and flew upwards into the sky as high as possible while Orrikahn nosedived towards the mouse, claws digging into it in an instant and blood seeping from the small white body of the now dead mouse.
As Ossifrage rose, the ferret had struggled in vain against the larger, stronger beast in the form of the Lammergeier, and squealed out miserably in a high pitched tone as the bird form of Ossifrage parted his talons to send the ferret, his father, hurtling towards the ground, his body crashing down to the ground below and blood spraying in a small area around it.
Having had killed their parents at such a young age, Ossifrage and Orrikahn were forced to rely on one another more, and avoided their own slaughter and demise by sharing their particular talents with the Myrians, to hunt greater prey and feast upon their blood and bones.
Growing up in such a way, it was only natural for the two to become fiercely loyal to one another, even given the lack of understanding that Ossifrage had of the great many of human emotions.

Weaponry

Warhammer
Heirloom Item
Material: Cold Iron
Description: The head of the Hammer is broad and flat, the edges wrinkled with slight indentations from years of usage, the short grey haft ending with a wrapping of faded, frayed leather, tan in colour, which gives just enough room for one overly large hand to wrap around it. Towards the back of the hammers head, the hammer narrows, not quite into a spike, but into a small in pointed rectangle, offering a smaller surface with which to strike bluntly.

Throwing Daggers
Material: Steel
Quantity: Ten
Description: Fairly plain looking throwing daggers which tend to be strapped to various parts of Ossifrage's body, a number of them upon his chest, and on his leg, whilst two sit placed in the lining of his boots. The hilts are made of a roughly cut wood, but they have been smoothed over time with persistent usage and holding. On each one is a very poorly carved crescent moon at the bottom of the hilt, to indicate who they belong to.

Edged Gauntlets
Material: Cold Iron
Description: Being wrapped primary in dark strips of cloth, the outward appearance of Ossifrage's gauntlets would be one of a poor construction, but beneath the cloth, the gauntlets are formed of cold iron, which razor edged blades along the backs of them, almost hidden in plain sight upon his personage. Coupled with the rest of his appearance, the gauntlets tend to look fairly commonplace in his wardrobe.
