The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

Nodding, Zakal decided to do what the woman said. He was determined to learn her name but if she could save him again, he would keep quiet and lay back. Zakal closed his eyes and allowed her to clean his cuts with the robe. He hoped that he would live long enough to at least know who it was that had already saved him more than once.

Zakal slowly inhaled and exhaled, making sure that his body stayed calm. If he could keep his heart rate down, then he might have a chance at not bleeding to death. He couldn't die yet anyway. He was far too young. He hadn't received his strider and windmarks yet. And he now had a puppy to raise. No. He thought to himself. I won't die yet.

(Flashback) A Lucky Meeting (Fraha)

Postby Fraha on May 17th, 2011, 6:49 am

Fraha Thought that the way to heal that wound for sure was to burn it, so it would close. However that would take time to make a fire and heat up a blade. She broke the robe to make a longer piece "I need to wrap this around your wound to stop the blood" Said she with a light light voice.

She thought that she would buy time like that to get on a fire or something. In that moment something reminded her that he asked her name. My name is Fraha, i'm 17 She took his hand which she was siting by and held it tightly You saved my life...thank you. Said she looking him in the eyes as her eyes became lucid again.

Zakal smiled. "You saved mine. So thank you." He watched Fraha bandage his wounds with the robe, she didn't seem to like blood. Maybe the best way to close his wounds would be to burn them. He had some flint and steel in his pocket for situations like this. In case he was stuck in the wilderness for the night and needed to scare off monsters. It may still morning but there was no way to tell how long they would be out here.

"Can you start a fire? If so I have some flint and steel in my pocket. I'll take care of the bandaging." He owed his life to this woman. Zakal Shadowrunner slowly pushed his body over to the closest dead glassbeak, and rested his head on it's flank. "You can use some dead grass. And if that doesn't work... I guess we can use some of my arrows." He knew that the wood from his arrows would burn better than the grass but he didn't want to think of wasting his precious arrows.

(Flashback) A Lucky Meeting (Fraha)

Fraha shook his hand once No you risked your's to save me if it wasn't for me you wouldn't be in this situation She was mad at her self but still happy seing him at least talking. The good news was that he had something to lit the fire with. That's great, let me them i'l fin something out. Fraha looked at his pants, and slowly slided her thin hand in his pocket until she could tell she grabbed what she needed. A slight blush went on her face. She cleared her throat end took out the flint and steel. *now how to use this?* thought she. the U iron thing looked like braclet, but was too tight even for her pulse. she stood up and satrted to look around in search of something burnable. In the same time she took the U piece like a knucle and saw that it fits well in three fingers. She then looked at the flint and slid the on the steel piece. As the spark came out Fraha moved backwards after gasping slightly.

She felt stupid for that and hoped that Zakal didn't see her. So she walked around a bit thank god it's summer there might be some grass that I can use She started to collect little by little grass and to storage it near Zakal. "Feeling better or worse? Asked Fraha, that was getting used to the blood and gore around them.

There was a pile of grass already but it wasn't enought. Fraha looked at the dead Birds, then at Zakal then looking at the birds again Fraha askedHow do you think birds burn?? with a smirk on her face

Zakal tried not to laugh as she blushed. He also watched as she jumped back from the sparks. He smiled but managed to remain silent. Not wanting her to feel bad. He finished tying the rope-bandage and applied a bit of pressure on his shoulder, one of the deepest cuts.

"I'm feeling better now. Thank you for the water and cloth." Zakal adjusted his sitting position a bit, still keeping his chest low, but allowing his head to rest better on the glassbeak corpse.

He returned her smile. "The beasts taste great, put over an open fire. But I bet the feathers would light up easily. Although they would burn too quickly." He looked around at the three dead birds. "I guess the only way would be to burn a whole one of them, although the stench will be horrid." His nose wrinkled in disgust. "No. I think the only way would be to burn some of my arrows until we can find some wood." Zakal's face dropped a bit as he said it. The arrows were just arrows. But he still felt a connection to them. He felt he had a duty to use the arrows for what they were made for. Hunting. "But it's your choice." He managed to give another warm smile.

Fraha laughed "no way, were not using your arrows" Said fraha she moved the pile of grass she had put together near the corpse of a dead bird. She started to scratch the flint and the steel blinkin with her eyes at any hit. Soon enough the sparks would light up some grass. Fraha went on her knees and elbows and started to blow on the raising fire. She didn't mind that her pose could be awkward, the stressfull situation made her not consider that ,after all, she's with a man.

Little by little the smoke got bigger and so a flame raised. Then slowly she expanded until a fine little fire would start up. Fraha used her Wakizashi to move the fire onto the feathers which took fire greatly.

No need to waste arrows Said she as she sat back on the grass with the legs aside, smiling, satisfaited about her work. She was feeling safe now even if Zakal was wounded, she still felt save. Will it burn well now? asked Fraha tilting her head in Zakal's direction

Zakal did all he could to not laugh at Fraha's awkward position as she tried to keep the flame on the burning beast going. He was glad she had decided not to use his arrows. Although it wouldn't take long for the scent of burning flesh and skin to fill their nostrils.

He still struggled to keep a straight face as she asked him a question. It wasn't her earlier position that was funny. It was more of the fact that she seemed oblivious to it. Either she didn't notice or she tried to ignore it. Exhaling deeply, he managed to smile normally. "It should. We should probably try and seal these gashes soon. It would be really bad if they got infected. And it's no where near the height of today's heat. Insects will be flying around soon." He knew that the insects would find the dead monsters soon. He hoped that the fire would keep most of them away.

Fraha looked at him a bit suspicious, he was indeed smiling a lot. Fraha thought for a second if it isn't something she did but concluded stating to herself that it was because he was feeling better. The fire was now invading the feathers and a slight smell of meat mixed with a deep blood scent spread around. Fraha leaned forward to smell it better, unshure about it, but as she smelled an intence stink she dropped backwards and crawled a step back. "damn you were right, it stinks like... she couldn't describe it well.

Fraha cleaned the blade of her weapon she was holding in the grass and quickly placed it in the burning fire, still in the same position as before. "that should do right?" asked Fraha as she went to Zakal and sat legs crossed in front of him. "So, we hove some spare time now, tell me something" Said she smiling while starting to feel quite relieved and almost relaxed.

Zakal Shadowrunner wrinkled his nose again. The scent of burning skin and flesh and feathers was foul. He watched as Fraha placed her blade in the flame. "Yeah, that should be fine." Zakal was again reminded how lucky he was he wasn't alone. Although he chose to attack the glassbeaks, if it wasn't for Fraha, he would be in trouble.

He looked at Fraha with a tilt of the head. "Um... like what?" Zakal was pretty sure she meant stories, or perhaps a little about himself. But he doubted she was much into his hunting stories. Which was pretty much most of the stories he had. And there wasn't much to Zakal. He was a pretty simple Drykas.

Fraha looked at his wound and how he banded it. Well... She scratched her forehead I suppose you don't go always around saving girls all the time. Who are you, where do you live? Something like that Fraha smiled a bit embaracced, she didn't want to put her nose in private lifes but she felt that she could with him.

Meanwhile the blade was heating up, so as the entire giant chicken. A lot of heat generated in the area, heat that Fraha could feel on her back even if it was coming from around 4 meters of distance. The fog and the fire were making the place they were like a closed one, Fraha felt very safe and comfortable, which brang a smile on her lips.
