(Dream) An Unwanted Memory

Herein lies the realm of dreams, where dreamers who are scattered all over the world in the physical can come together in the mysterious world of dreams. Remember, unless one is a Dreamwalker, there is no control over dreams. Ever. Anything can happen, and by threading a dream, you are subject to whomever can walk dreams and the whims of Storytellers.

Felakal stood in horror. He couldn't move, he was too shocked to move. He stood in front of the City limits of Riverfall. But it wasn't Riverfall, it couldn't be. Dark lightning shot across the midnight sky. Stones from the walls fell and came tumbling down. Men, women, and children all filed into the city, paying no attention as body-sized boulders crashed down upon them. Some were crushed instantly. But Felakal watched in pure disbelief as the ones who only had an arm, or legs crushed, would pull themselves out from under the stones and continue to go into the city.

Dark clouds rolled overhead as more and more thunder and lightning crashed above. Felakal then noticed that the dark clouds was actually smoke! Smoke from the city! All of Riverfall was on fire but people continued to pour in. But why?! He didn't understand what was wrong. But then the most shocking thing of all happened. In the mass of people who seemed to be in a daze, walked himself. He could see himself walking through the crowd, but he wasn't in a trance. He was smiling! The walking Felakal then looked directly at the real Felakal and smiled. It was the most evil smile he had ever seen.

All went black.

(Dream) An Unwanted Memory

Felakal was suddenly surrounded by open flames. He was inside of a house, that much he could tell. It seemed familiar some how but just barely. Even with fire all around him, he felt no warmth. Felakal slowly introduced his hand to an open flame, only to find that the fire was cold. Curiously enough, it seemed to have no effect on him, but the fire still cracked and screamed as boards throughout the house snapped.

Felakal heard a loud shout coming from down the hall. The cry was filled with murderous rage. He slowly walked down the hallway, afraid of what might happen. As Felakal reached the door but it slowly began to open on it's own. He was overcome with fear. What would happen? Who made those noises? The fire continued to burn as he pushed the door open a bit more.

Suddenly a large snake leaped right at Felakal's face. He put up his hands in defense and waited for the inevitable as he closed his eyes. But nothing happened. When he opened his eyes, the snake was gone. And so was the fire. Felakal, shaking, opened the door the rest of the way and saw a small Akalak boy kneeling over anothe Akalak who was covered in blood.

Felakal couldn't hear what they were saying, but the Akalaks' lips were moving. The older male said something, then stopped moving. The boy began to cry and ran out of the room, right through Felakal. But there was more movement. He saw a scaly tail of another serpent, but before he could make out the individual features of the snake, it began to change. Felakal thought that whatever was laying down was dead. But the snake turned into a humanoid. He couldn't tell if it was male or female, but the humanoid limped towards the window and slowly climbed out into darkness.

He turned his head to see a Konti laying in a bed, covered in blood. Felakal continued to observe the room until his eyes locked with that of an eagle. They both seemed to share the experience and understand everything that had happened. But Felakal wasn't actually sure if he understood. Who were all these people?

Then everything went white. Felakal sat up with a jump, sitting in a small cot. Rocking back and forth in the underbelly of a ship. He was shaking feverishly. "It was only a dream." He said to himself. "Just a dream."

Yes, but how much of it was the dream? How much was real?

Time to reap what you have sown!

Just as we have two eyes and two feet, duality is part of life.

~Carlos Santana

Name of the character: Felakal

Skill points: +2 observation.

Lores: Not all dreams are nice, Insane nightmares, On the outside looking in, Darkness covered everything, Cold flames devoured the scene, Was that really what had happened? and Weakly trying to deny the symbolic behind your dreams.

Additional comments: Here, it’s done! If you feel I should have awarded some more lores or if you were aiming for a particular one, do PM me about it. Also, I have liked the thread, it was short and clear and I feel you have written the confusion of it all quite well. :)
