Lumhai General Information Birthyear and Age: 28 Spring 480 Race: Human Gender: Male Physical Appearance Appearance: Lumhai is of fairly average height for a human, standing at just over 5’8” boots and all. Once slightly plump, some time adventuring has shaved layers of fat from his body, and toned his muscles. Despite passing through Falyndar twice, Lumhai’s skin remains quite pale, an effect of Black Rock’s mild climate. His dark hair frames his pinched face when left loose, but is normally pulled back into a tail. Lumhai prefers deep colors, but never blacks or browns. The clothes he wears are generally cut long, and loose, with ties rather than buttons. At the moment, he lives out of clothing so deeply blue as to be almost black. A deep gray vest ties over his tunic, creating necessary contrast. He wears tall, unfortunately black, boots whose tops fold down just beneath the knees. A long cloak, from his days of traveling, remains folded in the bottom of his trunk.

Persona Personality: Having lived his whole life in Black Rock, and being devoted to Dira, Lumhai is remarkably unfazed by death. In fact, he awaits it, but not impatiently. Some would consider this a melancholy attitude, but is, in fact, quite cheerful to those denizens of Black Rock. He loves nothing more than celebrating his parents’ deathdays, and visits them often, and pays homage to the dead during the Day of the Dead. His devotion to Dira often brings him to a local chapel for prayers and gatherings. Humor: Lumhai’s humor would be considered morbid in most societies. While death does not amuse him, for it is a serious business, he mocks the attempts of many to extended life. Dira always comes in the end. Likes: Lumhai loves to cook, and visit his parents. He spends great time browsing marketplaces within Black Rock. He misses adventuring terribly, and keeps everything from his short journeys within his cottage. One of his greatest pastimes, however, is to plan adventures he never goes on. Dislikes: Lumhai dislikes those that try to extend their life, and healers. Restoring what is lost is unnatural, and individuals should either continue into unlife, or pass. Character History Pre-Creation History: Lumhai’s early life was quite peaceful. He grew up playing “Ghost tag” with his friends, young boys and girls, both living and not, and other children’s games, when not in school. His father supported the family with his catch, selling those fish they would not eat, and using his earnings to purchase everything else they needed. His mother cooked, kept the house, and raised their only son. His life continued like this, until he was old enough to take out on his father’s boat to learn the trade. Lumhai showed little interest, and, indeed, little skill, at fishing. He began to cook, instead, assisting his mother in preparing dishes for their meals. His skill at this, fortunately, was much better than that at fishing. And so he lived, until his father died. His mother followed soon after, and their deaths were celebrated on the same day. It was shortly after the celebrations were ended, that Lumhai discovered his true interest in Dira, the Goddess of Death. He had been a fairly pious person his entire life, but it was then that his religiousness truly blossomed. Lumhai began to think of the wider world. Of places outside of his home. He had learned of Mizahar through schooling, and now ached to explore, especially since he had no ties to Black Rock besides his home. With money his father had left, Lumhai purchased traveling supplies, and a sleek, black quarterstaff for protection and support, and began his adventures. For several years, Lumhai traveled far and wide, seeking to learn and gain experience. He would return to Black Rock periodically, taking advantage of his warm bed and home, and praying at Dira’s Chapel. He would quickly leave again, however, to explore the world, and to grow closer to Dira. Rather recently, he has returned again, and stayed much longer than usual. Adventuring is beginning to weigh on his body, which, while not old, is not young. Post-Creation History:
