History: Croatoan was born in a shack in the poor parts of Zeltiva of a whore who had married a pirate-turned-fisherman. His early years went to street fights between child gangs who prowled the streets of Zeltiva, and he learned early the importance of comradeship. Another thing he experienced in those early years was when he crushed the face of the leader of an enemy child gang and going a wave of pleasure flowing through him. When he was of the age of ten, his father scraped the funds he had from his early days of pillaging together, and sent him to the university where he learned to read, write, do mathematics, while also getting an introduction to the theology of the world. His teacher in theology, an aged philosopher of a gentle disposition, placed great weight in letting him thoroughly think who he wanted to worship, but he also encouraged him to not pick a path that would lead to the spilling of the blood to innocents. Ten years came and went, and he fought in the streets, learned at school after his mother dragged him there and, when he was older, worked at street kitchens to gain money to drink moonshine and spending his time in brothels. In the kitchens he learned all the things an apprentice cook needs to know; how to prepare a loin so that it is especially juicy and tenderizing, how to dry and salt a meat so that it can last for months, how to find good vegetables in markets and nature, and how to prepare them, and how to make a fluffy and delicious quiche. Eventually, after he had scared a group of thugs away who wanted to mug him for the coins he had made by selling shepherd’s pies, he, in a rush of pleasure from making them feel pain, announced to his soul that he’d worship Krysus. Shortly after making that decision, he, after defying his parents, went out to work as a mercenary. After eight years of fighting, he came to a crossroad in his life. The agonizing screams of his enemies when he started breaking them didn’t give him the same pleasure, and he felt that his heart wasn’t it in when he prayed to Krysus. Then one day, when he crossed out of the door of the room he was lodged in, he was filled with a strange joy. He felt new opportunities arising when he started moving around, he started to be intrigued by the world around him and he loved the feeling of seeing new places. He ultimately went to his old theology professor, and confessed the religious ecstasy he felt from travelling. His professor then guided him, after some reluctance after hearing the grisly story of battle from Croatoan, to believing in Aquilras. Six years after he now is resting in Syliras after doing a religious wandering for his god.
