Standing at 6'1", Jade is lean, athletic and brimming with energy. Her skin is sun-kissed and her rich chocolate hair cascades to her mid-back, often tied in a messy bun with a scarf when she's sparring. Other than her height only her light blue eyes distinguish her as a member of the Svefra race, and the tattoo of a hammerhead shark on her side marks her as a member of the Maelstrom pod. Coiling around her arm is another tattoo of a maroon octopus, and on her forearm is yet another tattoo of her current tavan, Sijui, a tiger shark. Casual attire usually consists of plenty of jewelry, pendants and shark teeth often scavenged from the sea floor. She enjoys loose clothing, especially scarves because of a quirky trait that involves enjoying the sound of flapping cloth against harsh blowing winds. It's no surprise to learn that a woman who reveres the shark and has bonded to one as a tavan would also incorporate their nature into her demeanor. Jade is everything wild and dangerous just as the animal she takes after. She is opportunistic to the core; when she sees something she wants, she goes for it, whether it be against pirates or strangers; hide your valuables, because they might just vanish in the blink of an eye. To family and friends, she retains the Svefra psychology of utmost loyalty. If they're threatened she won't hesitate to unleash a flurry of blades. Name: Sijui Species: Tiger Shark Gender: Female Age: 5 years Length: 16ft Weight: 1800lbs Coloration: Light green skin with white underbelly and dark markings. Sijui is Jade's second Tavan, the first being a water glider named Kilas. After the death of Kilas, Jade felt distraught, depressed and utterly alone. It had been a full season before she managed to compose herself and once again continue her love of pearl-diving. It was during a dive down to the depths of the ocean floor that she came across a young, juvenile tiger shark. From afar, Jade had always admired the creatures; silent and deadly, majestic in the waters and beautiful to behold. For years, when she was young, she had always swum with the Maelstrom's Pardisa, the hammerhead, for love of the creature and the grace it displayed in the sea. Now here was a juvenile who seemed to stare at her with a curious eye; a notable difference from the several other species of sharks that were sometimes considered a danger to the Svefra. She spoke to her, beckoning her forward with a hand outstretched, and the juvenile seemed to willingly respond. In that moment, a hesitant bond was formed, and the juvenile became Jade's tavan. Over the years the bond was facilitated in countless hunts for fish and smaller mammals for Sijui. Jade, after becoming competent with her morphing soon took the form of a shark to hunt beside her tavan. The pair always cause mischief, especially to foolish strangers who willingly swim into the ocean. From afar, some would assume they were inseparable.
