Chamotte blinked as the pair neared the little shack. It was a quaint but rather nice place for sure. He glanced at the garden and almost smiled a bit. "Herb." He murmured. It was a fitting name for the little friend he'd made now that he could see the flora growing.
He wandered into the well-built home and tossed aside his bag carefully, making sure not to break anything inside. His food being clay had a tendency to dry up and crack easily. He carried water so as to constantly keep it fresh but he was always worried of his supplies bursting into dust. Hoisting up his scalpel and following his newly made friend outside once more, Chamotte grinned in excitement for the plans they had made.
"This is going to be fun." |

Standing in the open space, he raised his staff into a readying stance, making a few practising swings, almost over extending himself each time, as if not fully correcting the weight of the staff or the stretching qualities of his limbs.
Trying to gauge the full length of the staff proved difficult from time to time occasionally landing over the back of his own head, forcing himself to the floor.
All this while waiting for his new opponent Cha to ready himself so they could start. |

The little Pycon stared at Herb in confusion and slightly smiled, simply holding his scalpel out so the pointed tip was facing the other Homunculus. Cheerfully grinning Chamotte spoke up. "If you sit there forever we'll never get anything done! Are we going to be exchanging actual blows or just trying to learn how to block?" He had no preference or issue with either. Chamotte winced a bit at the idea of splattering against the ground, but he could always fix himself back up together. He'd rather not splatter though. |

' How about we start off slow, learn how to block the blows rather then how to attack aimlessly. ' Chamotte nodded in affirmation and swung his scalpel up to smack aside the pole with the flat edge of his blade. He was surprised at how fast his newly made friend could move. "You're pretty agile!" He called out. He then swung the flat edge of his scalpel's sharp end towards the Pycon in an attempt to hit the little man alongside his head. Chamotte had no issues with a bit of damage considering his regenerative properties. He wasn't terribly worried for his partner either and didn't hold back in the amount of force he put into his blow.
OOCSounds great, let's do it. |

Noting the incoming attack by the scalpel, he ducked low letting the blade pass closely over his head, not watching it's flow he looked for an opening. Spotting that he could probably make a successful attack he whipped out his left hand with as much force as he could muster, aiming squarely for his opponents shoulder joint, knowing he didn't have an actual joint his only goal was to disrupt the opponent to give him time to swing his staff upwards one handed into the jaw of his opponent. |
OOCI'm going to be adding in some of my brawling skill into the fight as I think it all adds to Herb's offensive fighting style

Chamotte blinked and felt his shoulder shift in such a way that it should not. Pain splintered up from the spot and ricocheted through his chest, causing a gasp to emit from the thin split that was the Pycon's lips. Another splinter of pain crashed through his jaw as he wobbled back unsteadily, using the wooden pole of his scalpel as a medium for balance. Regaining his footing and launching himself forward once more, Chamotte scowled as he felt a bit annoyed by taking a hit. He wasn't used to this but he could deal with it. The little clay man weaved in and out of several steps, flipping the flat end of his scalpel over Herb's head, bringing it down in one swift motion in the hopes of dazing the homunculus with a blow to the head. |

Watching each move his opponent made, he thought a counter up in his mind until he spotted the flat of the blade above him, attempting to dodge out of the way, the flat blade battered heavily off his shoulder sending himself into a sort of combat roll, letting his staff flow freely about him.
Picking himself up off the floor and back onto his feet, he stood ready and defensive, holding the staff upright ready to block any incoming attacks. |

The Pycon's scowl slowly morphed into a light grin as he watched his staff come into contact with Herb. "A hit!" He cried out gleefully. The little man tipped his form over slightly to jab at Herb with the end of his pole, attempting to strike his enemy in the stomach. Chamotte was driven now by a sense of excitement all over again. Jab after jab was made towards his foe, each a bit faster than the next. |

Watching intently at each and every move his opponent made, he carefully anticipated each strike, moving swiftly sideways out of the way of the strike, letting the shaft of his staff deflect it further away, almost rolling down the shaft of his opponents weapon, he retracted the staff and moved it in an downwards arch towards the the legs of his opponent.
Aiming to strike with incredible force at the base of the heel, he lowered one hand, sending it towards the mid riff aiming to connect and distract while the staff connected and dealt a crippling blow. |
