Physical Description
Arev is about 5'5" with elongated canines and golden eyes. She is hardly a big and imposing figure, build tending towards slender and athletic. Pretty enough, her hair is dark and threaded with black and gray.
Her alternate form is that of a wolf, equally small for its size and marked by dark fur.
Character Concept
Personality - Arev is a social creature, first and foremost. She may be cautious around new people at first, but that fades quickly. Her behaviors tend towards the wolf-like. She is loyal and normally quite mellow, though protective of anyone she considers "her pack". Generally speaking, she prefers to follow rather than lead, but that won't stop her from getting into trouble.
Ethics - Laws are confusing. She does what she feels to be necessary, defends her people, and follows loyally whether or not it'll get her killed. But that said, she tends towards good. Scolding is the best way to get her not to do something.
Likes - Authority, companionship, and hunting. The woods are her favorite place. Chasing things. Running. Her meat warmed up instead of cooked. Chickens.
Dislikes - Being confined or isolated. She hates being confined to her human form. Betrayal or dishonesty she finds absolutely devastating and can't cope with. The angry farmer(s) who owned those chickens.
Character History
Arev grew up alone in the woods with her father, learning his craft and how to move seamlessly between forms. For a long time, just his companionship was enough. She never did learn what had happened to her mother or why they were alone, but she assumed it had more to do with her father's personal preferences than anything else. They made their living quite cheerfully until her father was accused of murdering a man for money, staging it as a hunting accident.
To this day, Arev maintains that the accusation was false. The truth is...not quite what she knows. Still, her father was executed for the crime, leaving her alone--not a situation she enjoyed. Taking her father's bow and horse, she has set off to make her way in the world and perhaps find a new person to attach to. Maybe even a whole pack. It's an exciting idea.
