• Character Concept
Being around the Symenestra for so long has left Osakis in a long term bout of mediocre depression. Her once lively personality has dulled to a lethargic attitude which is hard to break. Every so often she finds liveliness when the occasional trader comes through, carrying new trinkets and spices though it is rare. {The only supposed free time she is granted by Hellebore is to tend to her medical garden, located in the cave near the Place of Purging.
Osakis is surprisingly not against the hunt. She has worked to understand the Symenestran ways and knows why they do what they do. Instead of participating in debates on which way is right and such she had dedicated herself to finding a cure to the poison the Symenestran newborns inject in their mothers though the use of herbs. So she remains neutral when the topic arrives, instead preferring to do something about the problem so that maybe in the future Symenestran women might be able to produce pure blood babies and renew their race, making both parties’ happy.
• Character History Osakis was born on a cool winter day in Mura into a family of two other sisters. Osakis was the last child her mother gave birth to.

As a young child she was encouraged to go explore the markets and library for something to capture her attention. For a while it seemed that she could not find a craft to work at and when both her sisters had already begun to start apprenticeship in their various trades she became discouraged. At the time she was an optimistic young girl and thought that perhaps she would try her hand at healing.
She spent hours in the Medical Library pouring over pages of information on different wounds, disease, and conditions but there was still something missing. Meanwhile her visions were becoming something of a nightmare for Osakis. Flashes of screaming women were often. It wasn’t until her early twenties that she found her calling and came to understand her strange elusive dreams. In the very back of the library, as she was pulling out a dusty book another one dropped at her feet.
The book was a thin, leather bound journal with worn pages and a small string tied around its middle.

Upon further inspection Osakis learned it was a collection of basic information on something known as the Symenestra. This was a new word to her and later when she was at home she asked her mother about it. Her mother hushed her and told her that it was a race to be feared ending the conversation.
Yet when Osakis returned to the library the next day she went straight for the book. She became fascinated with the strange poisonous people. Her obsession grew to a new height as she began searching for more information. Osakis had found her calling. At the age of twenty five she was able to piece together what she wanted to do exactly. Her visions had become clear and Osakis now knew that she was going to find a cure to the poison the newborn Symenestran children admitted into their mothers. Perhaps then her nightmares could be soothed.
She headed off the Island in search for the city of the spider people. Once again she came up short, unable to find the location of the Symenestra she began to falter. What if she was wrong about the Calling? A lone travels man with a wagon full of beautiful fabric was her key to the city. He told her of Kalinor and where to find it, warning her of the possible death that awaited her. It took another season of traveling before she arrived at the Woven Gate, the entrance the man spoke of.
