Off to Learn at the University

30 Summer 511AV As soon as he was given a location and directions to the Department of Medicine he gathered his belongings and trudged off in that direction, passing through halls that appeared to him as really far to big for anyone of his kind to enjoy without feeling like a mere insect, he moved slowly keeping to the sides of the corridors so not to get in anybodies way. As he walked he took the time to look up at the building and walls surrounding him, they were so grand and well carved and crafted that he was sure it was like nothing ever seen before, some walls decorated with pictures and images, tables dotted about with plants and ornaments. This really was a place of amazement, he'd heard many stories over his little life so far about what could be learnt in a place like this, magic's the likes he'd only been told of, this would be a good place, or home for him to learn his trade, then he would be able to explore the world and bring his great gift and training were it was needed. It took him just over half an hour to find his way, mostly due to his short legs and slow walking speed and having to duck out of the way of passing giants, so set on their conversations or simply their path to where ever it was they were headed. Approaching the door he realised that it was simply not going to be possible to open it himself, so he flagged down a passing student who dutiffuly opened it for him, letting him pass then closing the door again after him. Now standing in the office or department building he looked around for someone he could ask. After a few minutes he managed to find someone at the desk. ' Good morning, I was told by the Receptionist at the Office that I should come and speak to a Doctor Theresa Parker, about studying medicine, would you be able to help? '
