Alexander Vorg

Postby Alexander Vorg on July 20th, 2011, 6:10 am

Name: Alexander Vorg

Race: Human

Birthday: Unknown, 490 AV

Gender: Male

Physical Description:
Alex is a caucasian-colored male, approximately 6’3” in height and about 230 lbs. The first thing that one would notice, after looking at him, is his hair, or lack thereof, for he has absolutely no hair. No hair on top of his head, no hair on his arms, nor on his legs or his chest. He doesn’t even have eyebrows, all due to a birth defect which made him start his path towards male pattern baldness when he was 3 years old.
He has a small mouth and deep set eyes, with a nose that has obviously been broken before. His disproportionally long arms are always covered in bandages from the elbow to the end of the palm. His legs are likewise covered in bandages from the knee to the ankle. Over his arm bandages, he sports a, very dull and worn out, pair of steel Vambraces. Alex wears a loose fitting cotton pant and tunic, both white.

Character Concept:
For most people, if they were asked to describe Alex in one word, would probably come up with words such as: “Strange”, “Annoying”, “Freaky”, or “That Stupid Little ******? He stole my…”. Alex is really just someone who is in love with what he does. And what he does is Martial Arts. Alex loves hand to hand fighting more than anything. He loves the rush that he feels when he dodges a blow and when he lands one himself.
Alex believes that more people should learn Martial Arts because of the benefits that it can give to people. He doesn’t believe in killing or the use of weapons, and he will actively make sure that nobody dies around him, no matter how much they deserve it. He hates all those who use weapons because he feels that they’re only meant to kill people. This doesn’t mean he cares about injuring people, and he can actually be very violent, a trait exacerbated by his almost psychological need to pop up in bars and beat up random drunks.
For many martial artists, honor is also something that is of paramount importance, and Alexander Vorg is a complete exception. Other than his adage that people should never kill, he lives for the perpetration of crimes. He usually likes to steal people, especially pickpocketing. Battery and assault are also favorites of his, and he just loves to haunt the back alleys and mug people who can take it without dying. Especially if they seem to be able to fight themselves.

History:

Pre-Creation:
Alex was born in the beautiful city of…nowhere. He was found on the steps of an orphanage in , with a cradle and a hastily scribbled letter. The letter was from his mother, who explained that she couldn’t care for the child.
Alex lived in the orphanage until he was about 12. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but the orphanage wasn’t the best. The owner, seemingly not knowing the meaning of the word responsibility, allowed the children to go and do whatever they wanted all day. As long as they kept everything that they used clean, they would get food. If not, they would not get food that day. That was the only rule. This meant that Alex frequented in bars as early as 4 years old. But living in Sunberth, there were much worse places for him to visit. Attracted by the fights that broke out in bars, he started to visit Long Johnny’s Casino and Cagefights…and the Blood Pits. He started picking up some fighting from the “professionals”, but he was still woefully untrained.
One day, when Alex was 12, he was sitting in the bar sipping his beer when he bodily flung from his stool and landed in the corner, hitting his head hard. He painfully turned around and saw that a very drunk man had wanted to sit where he was sitting, and so he had pushed him out of the way. Angry, Alex ran at the man, who dwarfed the little boy 2:1 in terms of weight, kicking and punching. The man smiled evily, picked him up and kneed him full on in the face. Alex almost blacked out, but out of his barely opened eyes, he saw a figure flying across the room and hitting the offending man in the face. Then everything blacked out.
When he awoke, Alex found that he was in a strange house which he had never seen before. His head was heavily damaged and his nose was broken badly. Apparently, the figure that had beaten up the drunk had also taken him to his house to heal up. Alex stayed at the man’s house for a week, as he regained his strength. While he was there, he learned two important things about him. First, that his name was Roddy Donnchadh and, second, that he was a master of unarmed combat (ooc: Muay Thai to be precise).
Once he was healed, he thanked the man and went back to the orphanage. When he got back, nobody asked any questions. Nobody cared that he had been gone a week. Nobody cared that his face was still bandaged, or that his nose had a different shape. Alex ran away again that night. He couldn’t believe that nobody cared at all that he was alive. He went back to Roddy’s house, and begged the master to take him in. Roddy was doubtful at first, but he finally agreed to let Alex stay in his house under some conditions.
1. Alex had to find his own food
2. Alex had to clean the house occasionally
3.Alex had to learn his method of Unarmed Combat
Alex lived in that house for the next 10 years, gaining experience in Unarmed combat and getting money through his “job” (which consisted of muggings, thefts, and betting at the Blood Pits). Although Roddy seemed to be a rather ill-tempered old man, he truly cared for the boy. One day, the first time that Alex had to fight someone with a weapon, Alex came home with bloody cuts all over his forearms. Roddy gave him bandages and his own steel vambraces, which he could use to block weapons with his forearms. When Alex asked if Roddy needed those himself, he laughed and stabbed his own forearm with a kitchen knife. The knife clanged off of his arm, leaving only a thin scratch on the arm, not even drawing blood. Eventually, at 22, Alex left Roddy’s house to live a life of adventure.
