A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Summer 12 511AV

Dra-Nivias loved to explore the city. Even if she didn't talk and people mostly ignored her, she still loved to. Just because she was a half-blood didn't mean she wasn't allowed to know the way around her home city. She climbed swiftly across the lattice-work of paths to get to a second platform. She could go across easily, but not as easily as a full Symenestra.

She was headed towards a deserted area of the city, to think. She felt to trapped in her home and she liked being out...as out as being in Kalinor can be. She slowed to a walk and pretended to be lost when she passed a group of people. Better to keeping them thinking she was stupid too. They left her alone that way. After she passed them, she started running again, and became lost in her thoughts, not paying attention to the outside world until she ran into someone. They were much larger then her, and the impact knocked both of them over. She quickly got up and held out her hand to help the other person up.

Running into a Stranger [Valydor]

Postby Valydor on July 22nd, 2011, 8:59 pm

Valydorhad been patrolling kalinor for most of the day, not really looking out for danger or any sign of crime, most of the symenestra didn't dare hurt each other since they where so few of them left. Of course they always had to be on guard for those few fools that where either insane or desperate enough to pull something, but that happened only a few times in an entire year.
Elegantly stepping of the sturdy ropes connecting the hanging structures of the city and into the building that housed the orchid market. If there was going to be any thieves around they probably would be here in the place where valuable things could be stolen.

As he was walking through the market, eyes peeled for any offenders of the law's he suddenly felt somebody running into him, bowling him over and letting him land hard on the ground.
“In the name of viratas! Look out where you are running!” Valydor cried out as he screambled back on his feet. Ignoring the outstretched hand he glared at the woman who had ran into him. His face twisting in a look of disgust when he noticed she was one of those filty halfbreeds.
“Well Dra? Aren't you forgetting something.” He asked in a harsh tone.

Running into a Stranger [Valydor]

Postby Dra-Nivias on July 22nd, 2011, 11:00 pm

Dra-Nivias quickly pulled back her hand, and stared wide-eyed at the man standing in front of her. He was a good foot taller then her, and this was enough to scare Nivias. She backed up a few steps to get out of hitting distance, and continued to stare. She watched as his face twisted into a look of disgust, and Nivias knew exactly why. She was a mixed blooded Symenestra.

She thought about whether or not this was a good time to speak with her rarely used voice. She decided to not speak, because she didn't know this person. Better to keep her ability to speak a secret. It wasn't that she couldn't speak, she just chose not to, most of the time. It's not that her voice was weak, either. But talking would eventually mean voicing her opinions, and she didn't want that to happen. She forced a lost look into her eyes, maybe he would let her go because he thought she was stupid. She doubted it, but it was worth trying.

He obviously didn't like the half bloods, because he was still looking at her like she was a pile of garbage. She finally said something, very quietly, in Symenos. "Sorry." She looked at the ground, thinking of what could happen next. Dozens ideas of what could happen next passed through her head, and she took not of every one of them. Nivias prepared herself to run at any given moment, and she waited for what the man would do next.

Running into a Stranger [Valydor]

Valydor couldn't help but smile at the wide-eyed look on the face of that filth, it warmed his heart that this one at least knew its place, on hands and knees waiting for their betters to give them any kind of command, or at least fear them.
“well are you going to say anything dra?” He barked out in a gruff voice. “Or did your mother cut out your tongue in shame of what she brought on this world.” He took a step closer towards the creature, straightening out his back and looking down at her with hatred and distain in his eyes. Hoping to see her squirm. His rather ruffled clothes and unkept apearance After a few moments he heard the woman silently mutter something under her breath. Glaring down at her he just crossed his arms.
“Did you say something dra? Speak more clearly, I am not going to waste any effort to try and hear the words of filth like you.”

Running into a Stranger [Valydor]

Now she was just angry. Dra-Nivias decided that running from this petching man would be much more fun then sitting here while he spewed insults in her direction. It was just plain insulting to be in his presence. Emptying her eyes and face of expression, she looked up and stared. Just stared. This unnerved some people, but not everyone.

While Nivias was still staring, she knee'd him in the stomach. That should give me a head start, she thought while turning on her heel and sprinting. He would probably still be able to catch her, but there was the smallest barely possible chance that he wouldn't.

OOCSorry for the short post, I couldn't think of what to write :x
