Physical Appearance:
In all typical appearances, Aaeesha is a Konti woman with the beauty of a race most certainly non-Human. With her pale skin, white hair, and eerily vibrant violet eyes she looks anything but Human. Incandescent scales with a mother-of-pearl sheen pattern her skin in graceful spirals. They arch along her brow and dance down the bridge of her nose. They shimmer along her cheekbones subtly and disappear beyond her hairline. The scales re-emerge again at the base of her hairline, flow along her shoulders and down her arms to her fingertips, and snake down her back. Some cross along her pelvis, shimmering whenever she removes her clothes. The scales descend even further however after they dwindle along the base of her spine. They slide along the side of her legs and fade near her toes.
Her Konti features don't just end there. Gills are present at both sides of her neck, scales shimmering on them as well, and delicate webbing is visible between her fingers and toes. Scales glitter on these webs also.
Also common to Konti is Aaeesha's size. She is a diminutive young woman with a slight weight of merely 100 lbs and a height of 5'2". Her fingers are long and graceful, good for tightly gripping her suvai or securely holding a bandage around a person's arm.
Psychology:
To all intents and purposes, Aaeesha is cracked. Her younger years on Mura with use of her gift proved too great a strain for the Konti woman, and she succumbed to the odd quirks and mental deficiencies. At one point completely believing she was pregnant and even later on perchasing a trained ferret and calling him her 'baby', Aaeesha proves just how eccentric she can be. Her lucid moments were once quite rare, but over the seven years since her 'gift' was removed they have grown longer. It is during these moments, which sometimes may even last days before she will relapse, that she takes to recording all of her knowledge of the arcana within books. Sometimes she writes in Kontinese, at other times she does so in Common, but either way she hopes to complete a book on djed and publish it so that others may learn from her.
When she relapses this goal is not in mind. She is prone to mood swings and is fond of eerily observing passersby from shadowy alleys. This is when she is more likely to overgive, which she has done a few times before. Fond of her Hypnotism and especially her Animation, Aaeesha is more than likely to take to practising either.
Aside from her learned nature in the arcane, Aaeesha also has some knowledge in medicine and herbalism, something she picked up in Mura during her childhood. She likes to heal young children and injured people when she is most sane, but even when she is somewhat off, she still takes the time to heal, although not for free.
In terms of religion, Aaeesha prays to a few select deities. Of course, she prays to Avalis and Laviku, as they are the parents of her race, but she also extends this to Rak'keli as well as Ionu. Priskil is also worshipped, although not so frequently as the others. Avalis is whom Aaeesha owes her current sanity (and insanity) to, and she always prays to the Goddess for strength and courage to succeed in becoming strong enough to bear the gift that tore her apart again.
History:
Aaeesha was born on Mura in 469 AV to a Konti mother and an Ethaefal father. Her years as a young child on Mura has long been lost to her, but the feelings that remain when Aaeesha wishes to try and stir up her memories are of euphoria and pure bliss. She remembers, though, the day her gift blossomed within her. It was as she spoke to her mother that the talent manifasted, and as she gazed up into her mother's blue eyes Aaeesha beheld Alasa's death as her own. The vivid vision was so real that Aaeesha became emotionally distraught. She was ten years old when her vision came forth and on the twelfth anniversary of her birth, her mother died as she escorted a shipment of vision water through Sylira when a hunting party of Zith came upon them. Aaeesha knew then that her visions were true, and they were terrible.
Her eyes turned to her father as he recovered from the blow of his life-long sweetheart's demise. He kept his daughter company and shared with her the names of the stars to pass the time, but whenever he gazed into her face he saw Alasa and fell into a greater sadness. Aaeesha herself did her best to keep her father happy and to take his mind off of the dark thoughts brooding behind his eyes. She had seen his death as well and so she was panicked to prevent it. When she had seen it, the water as it filled her lungs was so painful that she feared the soft coast.
Sadly, Aaeesha was unable to save her father and he took his own life only after asking Aaeesha how it was that he would die. It was in horror that the Konti girl watched her father's body disappear beneath the waves and never return. She lowered her eyes after that, afraid that she would look into the eyes of one of her friends or cousins and would see their deaths. She couldn't stop herself forever, though, as eye-contact was a deeply ingrained habit and the others were frustrated when she denied them that.
Many deaths Aaeesha became privy to. For the old and decrepit, the death was often peaceful and long expected. For the pregnant mother, the young Konti, or the adventurous traveler, the death was painful and unstoppable. Aaeesha saw everything as though out of her own eyes, yet her own death escaped her. It was when she turned thirty-six that Avalis took pity upon her and removed the Gnosis, gently reassuring Aaeesha that she would not suffer the pain again until she could bear it and not be devestated. To this day Aaeesha still feels twinges of pain when in close proximity to others, but she pays little attention to them. She prays to Avalis for strength and courage because she believes she will one day be ready for the gift.
The consecutive four years were dull for Aaeesha, whom had cracked beyond what was normal for her sisters on the Isle. She left Mura during the fifth year after losing her gift and traveled south among a party of men and women. With them she came upon Nyka, but Aaeesha felt unamused by the separation in the city and so continued on alone towards Sunberth. She arrived there the tenth day of Fall in 511 AV.
During her travels, Aaeesha has become learned in the styles of several djed disciplines. From her sisters in Mura to a lone traveler in Sylira, Aaeesha accumulated Morphing, Hypnotism, Glyphing, Reimancy, Shielding, and Animation. She tries to use her disciplines for the good of Mizahar, but due to her very nature her uses are fragmented between the good and the very bad.
Likes and Dislikes:
Aaeesha likes many things... when she is lucid. She is a 'neutral' type of woman, qualifying as far as neutral-chaotic due to the personality she possesses when she drops off the edge of sanity. She likes quiet things normally, enjoying pensive silence much more than riled noise. She enjoys variety as well, and finds Sunberth and its anarchy a welcome respite from the constant repetition of Mura. She believes herself at home in Sunberth, just another insane face in a mindless crowd, but she one day looks forward to returning to Mura or at least inhabiting Alvadas.
Aaeesha's dislikes are similar to her likes in that they depend on her state of mind. In her calm moments, she dislikes anything overly evil and stupidly obvious. She dislikes stupid people, yet she enjoys showing them how to be not so stupid. However, Aaeesha dislikes peace and quiet when she suffers from her bouts of insanity. She would do anything for a good laugh.
