Lucia sniffed around for another presence. Walking farther east, she spotted a fox that was chasing around a small rabbit. She lowered herself onto her belly, crawling towards the rock and craning her neck just around it to watch the large fox ripping apart the small rabbit he'd recently caught. Her tail quietly swayed against the ground as she crept closer and closer, making sure every step she took was quiet and stealthy.
This is gonna be my easiest catch!
Leaping up from behind the rock, a loud roar emitted from her throat as she landed, her large paws thudding against against the ground. The fox looked up startled and quickly bounded away on the icy terrain of the Mud Flats. She growled in frustration. The people back in the underground post were starving and it was up to her and the other Avora and Endal to collect food. Ripples formed in her fur as she dashed after the fox. The fox was just barely in reach, if she'd tried to catch it now she could risk missing and letting it get away. That was not a risk she was gonna take. She was completely focused on the fox in front of her, listening to the snow crunch beneath it's small paws. As soon as she'd sped up enough, she roared and rammed her claws into the fox's leg, dragging it back to her. Quickly, she ended it's life, it's neck snapping with the massive force of her jaws. She sat in the snow and shifted back into her human-like form.
"I think that's enough for today."
Lucia had been hunting for about 6 bells now. Exhausted, she laid down in the snow breathing heavily, her hair spiraling down beside her and blending in with the snow. She closed her eyes for a few moments and gave herself time to catch her breath. The wind whisked around her and she found the cold snow falling down onto her body to be soothing. Satisfied, she got up and brushed her hair over her exposed body parts, shuddering against the harsh winter weather. She hoisted the fox over her shoulder and began to walk back to the spot where she'd hidden her other kills. As she was walking, she heard the sound of snow crunching beneath the feet of a quickly approaching person. From the sound the snow was making, Lucia could tell it was bigger than her. She quickly dropped her kill and dropped to the ground, shifting back into her tiger form. She growled, unaware of what was about to appear before her.
