Born on the Sixth Day of Winter,
In the year Four Hundred Ninety, After Valterrian,

Age Twenty-One

T'Setsuna is a young Konti woman barely tipping five feet and zero inches, and weighing one hundred ten pounds. Cresting her head is a mane of soft white hair that tumbles in thick, tousled layers down her back. Her soft face is narrow, and mounted with two thin rings of yellow-gold that extend out into a crystalline sea-green. The irises are reflect all the majesty of the Konti people and their island home. Her small body is thin and flecked with a smattering of scales across the top of her feet, twisting their way like a serpent up her legs. The scales hug her wrists, lingering across the top of her hands. Another railing spans the back of her neck, descending into a thin strip along the length of her back. The glimmer in all the colors of opal, like prisms that reflect on the sea floor from the sun's rays. A set of gills lace their way just along her jawbone.

T’Setsuna was born to her Konti mother and human father in the beautiful island city of Mura on Konti Isle, uniquely gifted with the ability to sense illness and disease in others. Her mother was deeply faithful to a small handful of entities, Rak’keli and Avalis being most favored. This love and faith was expressed deeply by her father as well, who took his place as a member of the Opal Order to distribute the blessings of his Healing mark to those in need. T’Setsuna, with age, began to question the faith that made her parents so happy. They sat her down, and from the time she was approximately seventeen, began to teach her medicine. As parents should, they provided her with everything she needed to explore her own faith and ambitions. T’Setsuna’s interests began to blossom and reach out in the direction of her parents’. Her mother would work with her daily to help her learn the lifesaving skill of medicine, all the while praising Rak’keli. Her father demonstrated the power invested in him from Rak’keli to further her own faith.

With age, T’Setsuna developed her own beliefs and passions. They mirrored those of her mother and father. Her mother was marked by Rak’keli when T’Setsuna turned twenty, and she joined her father’s side in the Opal Order. With their time being taken up almost entirely with their healing work, she, too, began to immerse herself in the passions that her little family shared.

In her spare time, her mother began teaching her auristics. It took many days of practice to develop the magic, but she proved successful when at last she read her mother’s aura. This sparked T’Setsuna’s interest in the personal magics, and she sought to develop her abilities and add to her arsenal of personal magic. Her father’s long time work the Opal Order proved most valuable when friend of his within the organization agreed to teach her shielding. An entire season passed before T’Setsuna was able to create her first shield, a little flickering across her favored auristics book. With a proud handshake, he left her to develop the ability further through her own expeditions, explaining, ”I would rather teach you to fish, than just hand the fish to you.”

In addition to auristics and shielding, T'Setsuna began to explore the prospects of fortune telling. Seeking out the help of her Konti people, she learned to determine fortunes through reading cockle shells.

With a love for personal magic and medicine sparked, and an inclination to learn, T’Setsuna set her sights on following in the footsteps of her parents to join the Opal Order.
