J'karn Tsander Basic Information Name: J'karn Tsander Race: Zith Physical Information: 140 Pounds in Weight; 6ft Tall; Slender, muscular build; White Hair; Amber Eyes; Dark skin tone. Birthday & Age: 18 Years Old. Birthday, Season of Summer, Day 5, 493 AV Gender: Male Current Mood: Hungry --> Quote: "Your entire life, all your hopes and dreams come down to one meal." Physical Description: Razor sharp claws and great leathery midnight blue wings, are some of the first things that stand out about this Zith. All Zith have wings and claws, but he seems to have a matching set, two colors which complement each other in terrifying darker blues. Sulking in shadows, consuming light into what may as well be a bottomless pit of its reflection. J’karn is nimble, walking with a slow tread to further enjoy the suspense before a meal. His hair often frames his face, and his wings can be folded beneath his robes if he is feeling like playing with his food. Eyes that have that oh so subtle glint of red malice, just bubbling away beneath the surface, but really it's all for show, he thrives off the emotions you give him and it is reflected in his posturing. Character Concept: A predator and yet more. He is a question, and he will answer it in great detail. How far can the thrill of the chase go, how far can you manipulate instinct and to what ends can instincts be combined for effect? Does our instinct require our own imagination or that of others, what drives it beyond the animal callings, is magic at its core, is murder at its core, is art at its core? This character seeks to understand what the callings that speak to the blood drive him to do, why must he feed, how often, on whom? Is there anything left of the humanity that used to be there, is there a code to his actions? The name he takes came as a last maddened shout of fear, the last survivor of a clan he had preyed upon for weeks on end calling him a monster out of myth. J'karn took it as a badge of honour so others would know of his name before he arrived, he finds the whole subject of mythical predators curious. Personality: You are never safe around this man, don’t ever believe it. He isn’t always the obvious type, he is the single minded type, the ones that get something into their head and run forward with blinkers on until it is achieved. This may be walking along the road with you, escorting you through a bad side of town, and then slitting your throat as you turn to thank him. Whatever curiosity is on his mind, will not be in your best interests in the end, alliances can work but you have to have a good ‘poker’ face, and know when to dump his help. Ethics: Slaves, he would treat them as his herd, if you damaged them you would answer to him. There are no other ethics, only perhaps the one he might take to his bed, or his child would he treat with any measure of respect. All others are games, food or pawns to be used and chewed up. Though he rarely has the patience for much long term strategy, it can happen if he has a really strong curiosity. He is fairly conservative around other Zith, he’ll still kill them of course, but he doesn’t go around flaunting it openly. He understands strength, and will take his place if you can display enough of it, even perhaps becoming what passes as reasonable to those he see's as equally strong predators. Likes: The thrill of breaking into places people think secure, enjoying the freedom to take their most personal items as his own. Food, he believes eating strong warriors leads him to be strong, consuming the best food, makes him the best. He likes ruins, primarily because of relics but also because of the game he can hunt there, the adventurous sort of fun prey frequent relics, so he does. He likes dancing, and can be seen doing so atop great mountains, or other monuments of significance, to feel fully alive. If he had the money, he would enjoy owning and selling slaves, because this he believes is a mark of status in society. He enjoys complicated plots at times and watching them unfold, though usually only when his curiosity is peaked towards something new or interesting. Dislikes: Weakness, if there is one sure way to die quickly when meeting J’karn it is to beg for mercy, he cannot stand it at all. Any sort of domestic animal, J’karn views domestic house pets as humans do rats, spreading germs to his food, he detests the vermin. Knights, prey who get dressed up in tins (platemail) that cannot be pried open with his claws. He detested clumsy people, and sees them as infuriating, as they distract him, or perhaps even disrupt his train of thought if very clumsy. Boredom is a phobia of his, and he will go to great lengths to avoid it. Languages Language 1: Fluent, Zith Language 2: Basic, Common Language 3: Poor, Isur Character History: Pre-Creation: A bitter battle erupted over the state of a successful colony, about 50 Zith in total lived in Ryth. Some were happy to enjoy the fruits of the territory they had carved out, others wanting yet more. J’karn being young at the time sided with his natural father, a man more inclined towards a prolonged savage expansion of their territory. The colony almost ripped itself apart, with the opposing Zith winning in the end. After being driven out by a more dominant male Zith, his natural father was beaten down but not killed, left as an example not to test the order of things. To see his father as the constant butt of jokes was intolerable to a young J’karn, who soon left determined to make his own way outside of his old colony.
