The ornate baths of Denval span back to pre-Valterrian history, with no exact date of origin known. They sustained major damage in the divine cataclysm, but through donations from the more generous citizens of Denval, they have been rebuilt to their former glory. Known as the warriors' rest, all manner of craftsmen and fighters use the baths in which to relax. The large rectangular building is divided into three major functioning rooms, two of which house the baths: the hot tepidarium, and the cold frigidarium. These are open rooms, exposed to the sky and air, adding to the pure atmosphere. The third room is the laconium, a smaller, enclosed room welcome to all citizens. Large amounts of steam are generated through copious use of fire and water, hypocaust braziers are burned beneath large pots of water, the same system that keeps the baths warm. Visitors sit in the laconium sharing sweat and gossip. There are two other locations in the Baths, the atrium (an open air courtyard situated in the centre of the Baths. Three stone benches encircle a hundred year old tree. Visitors often sit out here following a period of time in the laconium) and the apodyterium (the small complex of changing rooms, and cubicles designed for massage and anointment with perfumes). The baths are known as a key meeting place in Denval, and in recent years, they have become a popular spot for the small city's youth. Visually, the baths are steeped in ancient architecture. From the front, citizens will notice the two pillars either side of the door, and striking figurehead of the radiant Goddess Priskill, watching the patrons pass through the entrance. Situated near to the Opal Clinic, the baths overlook Denval town proper. NPC :
