Vin Basic Information Race: Kelvic Birthday & Age: 2 (19) Gender: Female Languages Common: Fluent Vani: Basic Physical Description In human form, Vin is hardly indistinguishable from regular humans. She stands at around 5'4" with a slender frame. Her skin is pale and lightly tanned, and her hair falls in dark blonde waves past her shoulders. Her face is narrow with delicate features, though her eyes are sharp. Large and dark, Vin's eyes are a tell-tale sign that she's not entirely what she seems. Her shift reveals a kestrel, one of the smaller birds of prey at around 20 centimeters long. Her wingspan can stretch to a meter however, and she is an extremely fast flier. Her plumage is a dark sienna colour, speckled with darker barring, and her undersides are a creamy brown. The feathers on her head are a beautiful blue-grey, with black facial stripes. Character Concept Vin is a quiet, yet curious creature, more than happy to keep to herself day-to-day. However, she will not spurn company and is often happy to converse with people. Being Kelvic, Vin is very instinctual. If she wants something she will try and get it. If she is hungry, she will hunt. If she is tired she will sleep. As a kestrel laws and morals have no hold over her; if someone leaves food lying around, she will take it. Of course, having grown up in a city, Vin is aware that different behaviour is often needed. She tries her best to follow etiquette, not wanting to draw attention to herself while she is in human residence. Like any animal, she has a nurturing side to her. If someone take the time to earn her trust and friendship, they wil have it for life. She will protect her loved ones to the best of her abilities, like any loyal creature would do. Character History Vin was born in Avanthal, and she lived happily with her mother Liana and her elder brother Mikal for the first few months of her life. Like all Kelvic, she grew quickly, and by the time she was a few months old she would fly alongside her brother as he hunted outside the city. Vin quickly learned how to fend for herself, finding her own meals on a daily basis and often staying away from the home for days at a time. It was when she was half a year old that her mother died; killed by a huge Talderan wolf out in the Reaches. Liana's death devastated both the young girl and her brother. Mikal and Vin stayed together in the house for a time afterward, but not even a month passed till Mikal made the decision to leave. Vin followed shortly after, setting off into the world to see what solace she could find. She spent time in a few different cities, before the call of Avanthal reached out to her again. As Winter began to take over the Fall of 511, she returned home.
