Physical Discription:

Adavi stands at about 5’4” and weighs around 120 pounds making him somewhat bulker then the average Symenestra his age. His skin is the traditional ashen pale, smooth and soft, except for his hands and feet which have built up some callus. His face is oval with a strong jaw and low check bones, an elegant if still childish noise, large gold ringed amethyst eyes, and a small but full lipped mouth. His hair is a fine wavy black parted at an angle and cut just under the jaw line. His nails are hard, black and sharp; though he keeps his toenails filed, Adavi’s finger nails are a good centimeter past the finger tip. Each of Adavi’s ears are pierced and he usually wears a pair of simple silver earrings.
Though he’s an attractive boy, his quiet nature often leaves him over looked in favor of his louder peers. His voice however when he speaks is audible and direct, sometimes startling those around him. Unlike most Symenestra grace does not come naturally to Adavi and this is evident in his movements as they tend to be slow and focused so as to avoid unnecessary clumsiness.

Current Clothing:

Adavi wears no shoes if he can help it, wearing instead a sirwal with cloth wraps starting from below the knee and looping under the arch of each foot. Over his torso is a shapeless poncho held in place by a large fold of cloth wrapped around his stomach. Both his arms are covered in a loose tube of cloth draping over his shoulders from a clasp about his chest, and secured to his arms by more wraps starting below the elbow and looping between his thumb and pointer finger. All of Adavi’s clothing is black except for a vibrant red, green, and yellow short-sleeved shawl that reaches to his knees. The last bit is a loose cut of cloth draping around his neck that can be tightened by drawstrings to hide the lower half of his face.

Character History:

Adavi is the second son of his father with an older half brother and younger half sister. Unlike his siblings Adavi was born of a Symenestra mother though like most she died soon after giving birth to him. He’s lived his entire life in Kalinor venturing only infrequently up to the surface for short day visits.
Four years ago his brother left for harvest and never returned. Approaching his 15th birthday Adavi is now thinking of his own harvest journey and making plans to leave the city after winter.

Family Overview:

Aesavea

Aesavea Brevissima is Adavi's father. Once a great adventure/explorer in his younger days the man has yet to leave the area around Kalinor since his daughter birth. He morns for the loss of his beloved wife and this has made him recluse to all but the necessities of society. To keep himself busy he works semi regularly as a merchant, buying what outsiders undervalue and selling it at a higher price to the people he knows will apriceate. He also does odd jobs around Kalinor using what fortune he made while young to balance his unpredictable income.
Aesavea is a man who cares deeply for his family but, was never meant to be a father and hides his insecurities towards fatherhood by distancing himself from his children.
While Adavi generally sees him as a quiet secretive man his view of Aesavea have gone though several changes, and continues to grow as he slowly discovers more about his father.

Sosuna

Sosuna is Adavi's younger sister by about two years. She was born of a surrogate mother their Uncle brought back from his harvest for his younger brother. Her conception was cold and without empathy on Aesavea’s part, while the women was in a state of hypnotized slumber. Sosuna was born purely for the sake of continuing the Symenestra race as the last and third child; so as such Aesavea has little emotional attachment to her. She was raised by her aunt and only moved into the home of her father some few years ago.
Sosuna is a social, charming young lady, who possesses a natural knack for reading people. Some would say she’s manipulative but, she believes she’s simply helping those who’ve become too blind to help themselves. While her relationship with her father is strained Sosuna and Adavi share a healthy bond that is closer to friendship then family.

Jheverrei

Jheverrei is Adavi’s older brother and something of the family's black sheep. Like Sosuna he’s very good at reading people, but unlike her he uses this information to expand control over his environment and the people within. It’s hard for most to say how he views his siblings and is often portrayed as a possessive and protective older brother. He seems to believe that everything has its proper place and function in the world, and if he feels his siblings are straying from their “true path” he’ll attempt to manipulate them otherwise. While his methods may seem cruel Adavi has always looked up to his older brother and believes he has people's best interest at heart.
Some past event caused Jheverrei to become discontent with how the Symenestra people lived. He often spent time exploring the surface world near Kalinor and conversing with every foreigner who entered the Symenestra city. It was from his older brother that Adavi acquired an interest in things beyond his home.
