Physical Description
Kelaugh is 5'7" tall and weighs 165lbs. She is toned and slightly tanned from training as a warrior in the Sapphire Clan. Her black hair is long and thick, but fairly straight. She customarily has 16 individual braids in her hair and she has blue hair wraps for her father, mother, brother, grandmother who are all still living and a silver wrap for her grandfather who died when she was young. All of her braids and wraps end in small silver star charms. She wears her hair either fully down or, when training or hunting, kept off her face with a blue cloth headband. She is partial to the colour black and often her clothing choices reflect this - although she wears blue shirts in deference to her clan colour and most of her clothing bears blue and silver embroidery. On her left wrist, she wears a single silver wrist cuff that her grandfather gave to her. As she was chosen by a strider at 14 she bears the customary windmarks; her entire right arm is tattooed with a tribal pattern, which extends down the right side of her back.

Character Concept
Kelaugh loves fighting, not so much for the killing as for the ritual of training and being able to protect her family, her land and her people. She is very loyal and trustworthy. Growing up with tales of her people, the ones she loves the most are the stories of heroes in battle and dreams of being like them. She is very proud of her skills so far, arguably one of her flaws because she doesn't take kindly to criticism, although she does listen attentively to her instructors.
Unlike most of her Pavilion and clan, Kelaugh does not commune easily with the web, and after many attempts by different tutors, in 504 her cousin Solicah at last taught her how. She still finds it difficult, but hopefully she will improve with practice.
She values her family greatly. And her strider, Dratai, is her most treasured friend.

Kelaugh grew up fascinated by the tales of Drykas warriors and the battles they fought. From a young age she trained with staves and bows, learning to track and hunt with her grandfather and later her father and brother. She also trained in dancing at the burial rites her clan performs.

Personality: Dratai tends to be stubborn and aggressive, although he is affectionate and (mostly) patient with Kelaugh. He loves to run.
Special Abilities: While on Cyphrus' grasslands, Striders can travel at twice the normal speed of an average horse - reaching speeds easily in excess of 60 mph. Can sometimes be luminescent in the dark.
