The

Laviku Monument

This statue, depicting Laviku the God of the Sea, is a reasonably new monument in Zeltiva, funded by the Administrative Committee of the Sailors' Guild. It stands in the very centre of the city, the figure staring out at Zeltiva's people in a heroic fashion. The eyes of the figure are crafted from seaglass, and catch the light reflecting from the sea on sunny days.

It was crafted by the artisan Perram "Perry" Marvelo, who resides in a small workshop near the docks. He's a quiet man, but is dedicated to his work. He crafted much of his heart and soul into the monument, and received a generous fee of Mizas for his efforts.

It is hoped that the monument will create renewed interest in the oceanic deity, and remind people of the power of the sea. It might be comforting to some, knowing that Laviku watches over them.
