Race: Kelvic
Birthday & Age : Season of Summer, Day 15, 509 AV (1)
Gender: Female

Physical Description

Flick is a small, thin girl. She's about as tall as your average teen and all arms and legs. Her hair is a golden blonde with a slightly reddish tinge and falls straight to her waist, a sharply cropped fringe sweeping her eyebrows. She wears it out, tucked behind her rather large ears - a trademark of her otherself, a small, golden colored fennec fox. Her eyes are wide and large, colored a deep brown, almost black, and peer curiously from under her fringe. Her skin is slightly tanned, but not overly, and her face is almost always lit up in a smile. She is a curious creature, not only as a fox but as a human, always wanting to know how things work and why things are. She's bubbly and talkative, and her voice is childlike in its tone. When she walks, its not usual for her to skip.

Character Concept

An excitable soul with the capacity to like almost anyone, she spends her days exploring and investigating. The young kelvic is curious about everything and anything, and will pause all movement, head cocked if she hears an interesting sound. As her foxy form, she often steals into kitchens and trashheaps in search of an easy meal or tasty bugs. Energy is something she is abundant in, and often she will become the annoying person at the bar who is perky and happy and grinning when the rest of the bar just wants to wallow in their ale. As a canine, she craves the company of others, and becomes incredibly lonely by herself. To avoid this, she is often found in busy establishments till the wee hours of the morning.

Character History

Flick, or Felicity as she was originally known, started life as a slaves child in the depths of Ravok. She was born into a trade ring to a caged breeding sow by the name of Pepper, bred on purpose for one reason and one reason only - pit fighting. All legs and white fluff when she was a pup, it was obvious she was never going to be pit fighting material, she was quickly sold to an Akalak man named Reghitaar, as a gift for his son Corvinan, just coming into his adulthood. Collared for her trip, the little pup was weaned early, travelling many weeks as a fennec fox. Reghitaar was a nice man, taking her out to pet her and talk to her, stroking large sensitive ears with a soft touch.

When presented to Corvinan, the first thing Felicity noticed was his temprement. The boy was not like his father, instead he seemed to have a cruel and violent nature. Occasionally, there was a glimmer of a nice young man, but the smallest of things would turn him into a snarling vicious soul. Removed from her collar, the little pup shifted into human form, standing as a naked toddler. Unimpressed by the toddler, the young man was loathe to care for her, and Reghitaar found himself her soul caretaker. Unsurprizingly, the bond that the akalak had wanted to form between Felicity and his son did not occur. Instead, over the course of the next year, the little fox found herself nose over tail in love with Reghitaar. She bonded to him strongly, cuddling into his warm lap during the day and hunting with him at night, her sensitive ears allowing her to track prey with scarely a light about. Reghitaar would have gladly taken the young creature as a mate, pleased with her delightful manner and curiosity, but his human wife would have been hurt by it. Instead, he tried to discourage the kelvic, trying to distance himself from her. It only made matters worse, and on the day of her adulthood, the girl shimmered into her naked human form, pleading with Reghitaar to love her.

Corvinan witnessed the change, paying little attention to Felicity until now. Seeing her in prime female form, his interest was perked. Cornering the young woman alone in her quarters, he collared her, and attempted to woo her, his sweeter temperament coming forth. But it was too late, and the kelvic rejected his advances. Jealously and anger seared through him, and violently he attacked her. Frightened, she cowered whilst he raged at her, covering her head with her arms, yelping in a high pitched scream. Reghitaar burst into the room, and with difficulty he tried to restrain the youth. Clawing at the collar around her throat, Felicity snapped the buckle and shimmered into her fennec fox form, fleeing the house. Escaping through a low window, she dashed through the legs of city goers and out into the wild unknown. Alone and frightened, she hid herself away, licking her wounds and nursing her broken heart. The young kelvic knew she couldn't return home again, convinced Corvinan would kill her. Taking human form, she ventured forth into the wilds of the city, to start her life anew, as Flick - The Streetfox.
