Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Time Stamp: 51rst day of Winter 511AV

Sliding through the water Alaqua reveled in the relative warmth of the Ocean. At home in the depths of the north the sun hardly ever reached the depths of her home. During the winter the sea was covered in a thin layer of ice, forcing Alaqua and her family to swim constantly to keep warm. Surviving without oxygen for long bouts of time the Charoda would spend most of their time in the deep depths rising to shallower waters only once or twice a day to take advantage of the more readily available oxygen.

On land however she felt almost dizzy with the amount of oxygen. Fascinated by how quickly she could move on land, since her father had left the day before for home, she had spent as much time sprinting through the city as possible.

Slipping through the docks she peered out from the water her white rubber flesh blending in with the snow speckled crests. Wrinkling her nose, the scent of rotting fish filled the air making her stomach roll. Sliding beneath the waves she wiggled forward, letting the salty taste of the sea whisk away the scent of death that clung to her skin. Sensitive eyes absorbed the the movement going on around her, and she almost understood why the Charoda's of old would drag the soldiers from their boats and drown them.

Scanning the shore she waited for an opening when she could slip unnoticed from the sea. Spotting it when the busy sailors were all aboard and preparing to leave she slid away from the sea, her white nude form rushing into the nearby alley to pull on her black dress and cloak, bangles pleasantly ringing against each other. Shoving her wide webbed feet into the long boots she covered herself in the slightly moist black clothing.

Sliding out of the alleyway she glanced around, though some sailors were staring at the once naked women most hadn't noticed her. Walking swiftly along the planks she gazed in wonder at all the activity surrounding her, distracted, she stumbled through a sailors net. Entangling her feet she fell, as soon as her skin touched the net she panicked and began thrashing, tangling herself further.

Yelling, faced flushed and tight with red rage the owner of the net approached. His burly body lumbering through the crowd. "Hey Woman! get out of..." voice trailing off he grasped her bare legs where her dress had rode up grinning, "Hello my fishy friend," he murmured, eyes gleaming greedily.

Pacifists, he knew the woman wouldn't harm him in her attempt to get away, despite the blade at her slim hip. However he believed she would be able to seek out some sort of underwater treasure, having heard stories of their incredible scavenging abilities.

"Get your hands off me!" She yelped his cool dry hands making her skin itchy with dryness, "Let me go!" She screamed out to the docks, as he bundled her up in the net, hauling her towards his boat.
