Seeking Glory Physical Description Name: Wor (Currently; subject to change) Race: Nuit Gender: Female (Currently; subject to change) Age: 536 Birthday: Winter - 24 - 24 BV Starting Place: Sahova Character Concept This particular entity represents the fluid and ever-changing scope of the immortal soul. Power is an item desired by all, whether unconsciously or with eager affirmation; it is an item that can be claimed easily with the stroke of death's silent hand. She or he― depending on the time and the place ―creates no discernible moral qualms about the methods of gaining power. When a creature crosses his or her path, if it holds anything that could seem remotely worthy of taking, she or he will obtain it, through any method required of him/her. Now this Nuit cannot be considered morally biased in any direction. Its decisions and actions are two interwoven threads, something it knows full well. It obtains power for the sake of obtaining more power. Nothing more. Emotions very rarely, if ever play into its choices. Character History Long ago before the catastrophic forces that ripped apart the continent erupted, there were two empires. Between the two a human's loyalties flickered, consistently operating for equal sides as an assassin, espionage agent, and even bait. This person's history was hardly notable. Its presence in the world was something that could easily be mistaken for a breath of air, a passing shadow cast by the occasional bystander, or even dubiously real. What is known of its past is that it was born in Treval, Alahea. It was also, as a child, under the tutelage of a woman gifted with three marks of Eyris, which in turn gave birth to an extraordinary amount of varied knowledge. Somewhere shortly after its seventeenth year of birth, the being vanished from the notable strains of society. Details surrounding this entity's existence after the Valterrian are far more notable. During the first hundred years following the wild djed storms and corrupted land, it was converted into a Nuit through the ingestion of ichor. Among this time it spent a vast majority of its days beneath the earth, dwelling within caves and adopting new bodies when the need arose. During the second hundred years it obtained a taste for power, a taste that could not be sated, or at least not permanently. Exposure to the savage energies that swam through water, air, and land ended up being the creature's most damaging prospect. It lost its mind and sense of identity just as it did its original body. In the third and gentler series of years, just when the newly formed and powerful beings of Mizahar were gathering into cities, the Nuit rejoined society and began weaving its own series of complicated webs, each thread carrying hopes, dreams, as well as the darkest of nightmares. From that time onward it has lived a life dedicated to the pursuit of omnipotence, omniscience, and general invincibility.
