All races wanted for The Vanguard

The Vanguard are a merc band consisting of a handful of people. Let's say we start with 3 people and we can grow our band of mercenaries as time progresses.
I'm inclined to start with only 4 people so that the threads are more likely to finish and the posting will go at a steady pace.

All races,gender, people are welcome.

The Vanguard will perform small missions for people in need, more often than not wealthy and/or powerful people. But if a poor person with a good heart is in trouble we do not hesitate to help.

I'm still contemplating whether to have a large storyline run in the background at start and slowly reveal more of itself as we receive more missions or let The Vanguard remain a small-scale merc band only focusing on missions 1 at a time.

The Vanguard will start of as a new merc band but if 2 people who know eachother before joining The Vanguard want to join, that's ok too.

So, if anyone wants to join or has some input please by all means post in here or send me a PM.

PS: No location has been chosen yet, please post where your character is at the moment so we can organize a location to start our band of merry men. ^^

This definitely sounds like something I’d be interested in.

My character is Eris, a human woman trained in using a dagger. She’s previously worked as an assassin and often uses her talents as a thief to survive. She’s currently located in Sylaris but is free to move around within reason.

Hey, don't know if you would want but my character is available. He is human, he used to be in the Zeltivan Navy, he knows sailing as well as the blade. He is a bit eccentric, but knows some cooking, the lay of Zeltivan land, as well as tides and currents. He is currently in Zeltiva, but can move to anywhere given a small amount of time to get there.

At what " date " can you be in Syliras ?

Once you post a reply I'll set up a thread in Syliras for us 3 to get acquainted.

PS: Normally there will be a posting order. Let's say in order of appearance?

Aloha! This looks like it would be a perfect way for me to start Stikka off. He's a pirate that is currently without a crew or ship, has experience in sailing, flute playing , and quarterstaff combat. He does tend to be somewhat of a pacifist and will always object to killing but the helping out the little guy bend of your outfit will appeal to his ethos. Plus it would give some great banter between Rand and Stikka. Since I wasn't done with his back history, he can start anywhere he is needed, and Syliras is fine. If he is to "nice" for you let me know, I won't mind.

The post order is fine with me. I was thinking start the post a week or two in the past as Rand will have to sail to Sylaris. Anways ill make a post then my next will be the new date arriving in the city and we can start from there, getting aquainted and figuring out the interesting parts.
