Physical Description:
At a Height of 6.1 Merikanz is on the shorter side for his race, he also is fairly dark even for the Akalaks. His base color is a very greenish blue almost a very dark topaz. His eyes seem deep and nearl y completely black. His hair has a long dread locked style, with dark bracelets at the end of each braid. He wears a dark cloak and often covers his head with its shroud. His face is slender and his build is athletic and it is very easy to tell that he has trained most his life for perfecting his agility and resilience. Merikanz has numerous scars of which he seldom speaks the most obvious is one that runs along his chest.

Merikanz would be far more aesthetically appealing if it wasn't for his rough nature and mysterious demeanor. Though there is an apparent sense of pride in his stride there is also a feel of deception and inner tension apparent in his mannerisms and gaze.
The Dark side of Merikanz is known as Avarice. Most darker sides among his people seem far more unstable, Avarice is often seemingly more mentally together with a dark bold demeanor with more pride and cleaner self upkeep. What makes his dark side stand out however is his gaze a very unsettling almost predatory stare that shakes whomever it targets.
Character Concept

Merikanz and his dark side recently came to an understanding his dark side not wanting to become restricted by the confines of Cerulean life. For the most part the two sides rarely quarrel and Merikanz often leaves fighting and other dangerous or nerve wrecking tasks to Avarice. Merikanz is an eccentric in almost every sense. He doesn't approach challenges by normal means and when he interacts with others he often seems cautious or overtly abrupt in his statements as well as their intentions. Though he has a few odd quirks he can be friendly as well as intuitive. What he lacks in raw fighting power he makes up for in skill.
Merikanz is also extremely hard to read his responses to different situations are always unpredictable. Even when he attempts to be friendly his straight-forward and odd nature often confuses those in his presence. The type to tell a woman he is interested in them, then points out her physical flaws that he claims don't bother him with a level of detail that suggest otherwise.
Avarice though his dark and more wrathful side is a simple person to get. He is truly greedy, wanting the most and then some of everything. Also Avarice is very arrogant and a master manipulator of people and situations. Far better at maintaining a conversation, Avarice often steps in when Merikanz needs to talk to someone of importance. Avarice though has a very violent rage about him and is a far better fighter than Merikanz. Not only because of the overwhelming skill difference but the amount of mental resilience he has. Taking heavy blows and still managing to speak down to his enemies. Despite how he may seem to act towards his light side Avarice respects Merikanz and the feeling is mutual.

History:
Merikanz grew up much the same as most Akalaks though he was always seen as somewhat odd among his peers. On the watch list for being overcome by his darkside twice. Luckily it was realized it wasn't that he was overly dark, he was well... just a strange man. Often Merikanz would make friends but his nature would eventually cause them to distance themselves. As far as fighting goes he was barely average among his peers as far as "light" sides go due to his lack of interest in fighting, strangely though his dark side surpasses most others even among other dark sides. Which has brought his mental stability into question time and time again. His mother was a Konti named Alia whom he saw rarely after he completed his first rite at 15. She was beautiful and very loving of her son, though she worried for him as a child he bore the sickliness of most hybrid children formed by the two races and his father disappeared the same day of his birth. It is said that Merikanz may be slightly flawed due to his latent hybrid blood. Alas his mother was forced to raise a Akalak man who's mind seemed very twisted in comparison to his peers. Sadly though she loved her son dearly for an untold reason she had to leave for her homeland visiting Merikanz rarely.
Growing up was not easy for Merikanz especially after his mother left, he was often looked upon with suspicion and concern. Until it was realized that he may despite his appearance he may have acquired Konti traits that his mind just wasn't able to fully handled then worse than being ostracized he was pitied. So at age 18 he left Riverfall never to return. It is not known to Merikanz what abilities he might have but he is often tortured by his overwhelming intuition. Making it hard for him not to over-analyze situations or comprehend those who lie to him. Emotionally and otherwise seemingly conflicted Merikanz is faced with two challenges in life, the first being the most daunting involving the squiring of a child, the second a dream that depicts a distant future where is decisions may shape the outcome of the world itself. Fearful of his destiny and unaccustomed with the challenges of person to person relations he hopes that at the very least he may survive the days to come.
