Dhissir's Combat Technique

Being small and fast Dhissir utilizes forms of combat with many strikes and movements instead of a Constrictor’s wrestling approach. He has neither the strength or the size to squeeze more than an average human to death, relying on extremely potent venom and his deadly use of Flux. Using elbows, tail, fists, head, knees, and feet he is able to deal pain rapidly and precisely. Dhissir has distinct styles of combat for each of his three forms, depending on their strengths and weaknesses. Race fed and training honed levels of speed make up for his smaller size as a Viper Dhani. While precision and flux powered strikes more than compensate for his lack of strength. Where the Constrictor is a massive battle-ax, the viper is a razor sharp katana. Dhissir has tried to build upon these foundational traits to make a martial combat that can defeat any opponent.

Snake: As a snake Dhissir coils tightly, leaving the tip of his tail between himself and his opponent as a defense. Keeping his head low and shifting constantly behind the tip of his tail he strikes with rapidity, alternating between body rocking head buts, low and high tail whips, and of course the fatal bite. As he does this he constantly moves his djed from tail to head and back, not yet able to concentrate two points at once. He can easily fall into the pattern of djed transfer. But the form would be efficacious with the ability to maintain multiple djed focus points.

Dhani: Perhaps the deadliest of his forms, the Dhani form utilizes all of the aspects of snake form but has the added advantage of arms. Dhissir takeson a very different stance here, coiling his tail into a powerful spring and leaning forward with arms raised in defense, he is able to lash out with speedy attacks and block blows or dodge easily. Usually he is able to block blows with both his head or arms. His blows are executed with such a high frequency that he is rarely able to complement them with djed consistently without maintaining just a single focus point. That is to say he cannot alternate djed blows between arms unless he maintains a very high level of concentration. Once he breaks the single djed focus point threshold this form will be extremely effective. He is able to move quickly around opponents

Human: The human form is faster than a regular human by about half, which is a huge advantage, but is also smaller than the average human. Dhissir would never let this handicap him though, forcing his speed and knowledge of pressure points to make up for his stature. He is able to shift quickly on his feet and block with legs and arms but has neither the far reaching tail, nor the deadly bite as a man. That said, he is still extremely effective as a human, especially in tight spaces.

Flaws:
- Flux and it’s euphoric temptation to over extend himself is a constant stress when he practices his martial arts. As a result he sometimes experiences much inner turmoil after a fight or practice where he may have overexerted himself. Often becoming slightly depressed at his own body’s weakness or seeming inability to cope with the wonderful powers of the Flux.
- Has an unexplainable fear of all oceans, rivers, lakes, pools, and even a few fountains.
- Often struggles with his anger, which burns white hot and low. When he feels slighted or insulted he will become enraged, but his mental fortitude is strong enough to usually keep him from acting on it. Usually when livid Dhissir lashes out with verbal attacks with little regard to whom receives the brunt of his anger.
- Is constantly fearful of being consumed by the power of the Flux, especially after using it.

Merits:
- Humility is a trait that is absolutely required if one is to survive the powers of Flux. Dhissir has been able to become as skilled as he is on his own only because of his learned humility and self discipline. His actions are driven by it not only in the practice ring but in his every day life as well. Never does he boast of himself, always quick to thrust credit at others.
- Accepting of others, no matter their race. Myrians are the only exceptions to this. Dhissir will never judge another before knowing enough about them to warrant a just opinion. Things like station and wealth will not influence his judge of character. This is a two way road. Though he is not too proud to talk to a beggar, he will just as soon treat a lordling the same.
- Curious of other cultures and lore outside of his knowledge, he will always actively seek new information. He is a very good student, dedicating his full attention to the knowledge at hand.

He was made bare and hollow, I want to fill him with whatever experiences Mizahar has to offer. Who he is now is not as important as who he will be, can’t wait to see.
