Hello Wonderful People

My name is Alex and Roleplaying is one of my favorite hobbies. 8 years ago I met my first friend and found out we're both of the creative type. He introduced me to roleplaying and I caught on right away. We did live action roleplaying but not with full suits of armor or aything like that. He had some bokken and we would create our own world, races, magic, etc. Then not too long after is when I started text based roleplaying on another friends website called Overworld which is no longer available. I also did some roleplaying on deviantart just so I could keep my imagination going. Recently I realized that I wanted to roleplay again and dA didn't cut it any longer. So I searched for text based roleplaying sites and came across this one and after reading a little I found out that I'm in the right place!

I like to write about anything, really. Mainly, my characters have something to do with dark pasts, losing family, and redemption. What I love about Mizahar is the vastness of the information within each race and cities. It'll take a little while to get back into the groove of everything but this is what I love to do.

You seem to be of to a fine start. PLEASE, please, please, oh dear Miza-gods, PLEASE read the rules and guides. Between those and the wiki your every answer can be found. We can nudge you in the right direction in chat, of course. I hope to see you out in the game - which you just lost btw. Roleplaying with yu in Mizaar would be cool too though!

Hey Ambroas, welcome to Mizahar! You can call me Mikael. I'm new here, too. But yeah, definitely heed what Tiki just said. The Wiki is pretty vast, but it's far from complete, at least, from a glance of my own. I gotcha a few interesting links, though.

Rules
Things You Need To Know

A few things off the top of me head, too:
--- You can only make 1 character per account, and you can have up to 5 accounts. Thus, 5 characters. HOWEVER, these characters are not allowed to interact with each other in any way or form. It's the rule, so heed it.
--- There's this thing called Timestamping, which helps regulates what your character is doing chronologically. It basically helps you understand your character's schedule and such, so you don't end up in more than two places at one time.
--- You only get 50 skill points, so distribute them wisely.
--- The wilderness between cities and towns is very dangerous. You can, sadly, easily die due to your character being ignorant or foolish when it comes to their own survival. However, don't be afraid to ask your Storyteller for help in understanding this.
--- That's another thing: Storytellers. Make it easy on them because they have to understand your character and throw things your way as the story goes on. They also grade your character's actions and dish out experience points at the end of a thread.
--- KEEP YOUR CHARACTER SHEET UPDATED. This is especially important because Storytellers refer to it very often and if it's not updated, they won't take that into account. SO keep it updated, especially your ledger (use of money and such).
--- If you're going to use magic, do read everything about it, so you don't get caught up and misuse it. Magic is useful, but very costly if you're not careful. Also, I wouldn't skim when looking at the various magical skills (Reimancy, Glyphing, Auristics, etc. to name a few), because they're very detailed and very original. Make sure you understand it before deciding to use it, and ask questions if you're confused. =)

Well, that's all I can think of right now. I look forward to meeting you in the field. =)
