Anyway, I've RP'd a bit in the past, mainly on a cooperative forum-based Harry Potter site, but I've also played a little D&D. I'm also a fiction writer in my free time, and am working on a fantasy series, so fantasy isn't exactly new. Now that we're on the topic, here are a few fun facts about yours truly. I've just finished my first year at a liberal arts college (any other l.a.'ers out there?) and am probably going to study history and English with the hopes of becoming a curator/archivist/librarian/best selling author, while my real dream is not to end up working in a Starbucks or a Wal-Mart. I read and write fiercely, although I've had a bit of writer's block for the past...year or two.
I also play some RPGs on Xbox. Now, onto my "goals" for this site. I really just love the idea of character-based cooperative RPing, especially in an original world. As I've found with my (still in-development) fantasy series, EVERYTHING is based almost COMPLETELY on Tolkien, and it's REALLY hard to break out of that mold without seeming crass and ignorant of general fantasy lore. So I think the complexity and originality of this site are awesome. I also like that not everything is combat based. I've always just liked the idea of developing a character more than defeating beasts, so that's refreshing. I'm a little daunted by the sheer mass of information that exists about the world, but I'm sure I'll get over that.
