Father

How his parents met he never knew. His father is never one to tell the truth—at least not all of it and is much too fond of half-truths for Adrian to ever get the real story out of him. But one could guess it went something a little like this:
A young man meets a woman and tempts her promises and words that no other could say, things that made her heart soar. Travel her one desire and his as well they would leave the frozen lands in search of adventure or mischief. Both tellers of tall tales but who was telling the tallest?
Mother

The woman was no fool and the man neither. Both with ulterior motives that a certain child halted. Whatever game they played only they knew the rules and in any game there is only one victor. So, a child was born and woman died in a childbirth that went smoothly. No one knew why or questioned and so the boy child was swept off with his father.
Of course, the father did not want the child either but he was able to use the little being to his advantage as he continued the game he that had been previously cut short. It was in this manner that Adrian grew. Traveling here and there, between Taldera and Sylira learning things no child should learn and taking a unique pleasure in learning said knowledge.
More often than not he was left to his own devices and enjoyed causing mischief as any other child would. But as time went on and he grew more easily bored and perhaps a bit more temperamental his games grew more dangerous and the outcomes quite disturbing. His father took no pride his child though (no matter how similar they acted) and even less so when the child took up an interest in the magically inclined arts.
They taunted each other, his father winning their little games more often than naught. And slowly they grew apart whatever was left of them that had been there when Adrian was a child. On his own now at 15 he attempted many odd feats and made many people displeased. But none of it bothered him for he received whatever answers he sought and was off once more. He knack for getting in trouble that ended with pain prompted his personal study of Shielding. There is no book that can teach a child restraint no matter how hard it tries but thankfully the art is hard to overgive in and he was mostly spared. Try anything hard enough and one may accomplish anything and he has overgiven when practicing. mostly done on purpose due to his like of the euphoric and powerful feeling it gave him.
He soon became paranoid that some would take his newfound fun and fled. His mind only frayed more with time. He became obsessively paranoid, constantly on the move unless something truly held his attention.
Throughout his travels he learnt that secrets were good everywhere and there was always a price for things people would rather have kept silent. He found great pleasure in watching despair and other chaos unravel with each little secret he sold. But whatever secret he was endlessly or seemingly searching for he cannot seem to find.
Fortunately or not Adrian survived the storm a little worse for the wear and undeniably less fortunately he landed in Sunberth during said storm. Though he enjoyed causing a ruckus and generally making a nuisance of himself he is not fond of the disorderly city. Its filthy places and even more filthy people tend to set him on edge. But unfortunately leaving was out of the option thanks to the havoc that followed the previously stated storm. And so stuck he is in the little lawless city. Wishing he could leave but determined to make a ‘fun’ time out of his stay in the Sunset Quarter apartments.
