Hi there, everyone! My name's Hadmycil, or so it seems *looks at her username*. Sounds rather like a painkiller, doesn't it? I'm bad at coming up with names, but the rules insisted that my account name needed to be my player character's name. Quite unfortunate, that. I would've largely preferred "herculehastings", which is the username I commonly go with, but I wouldn't be caught dead roleplaying someone named herculehastings.

Er, well, I tend to ramble a lot when I'm excited, it seems. In any case, let me recount the very interesting story of how I found Mizahar. See, I'm a member (mod, really) on another roleplaying site named Surreal*Twilight, and over there, someone remarked that they'd found the site through a search engine named Dogpile. So I went to Dogpile and typed in "role play forum" (I think) to see where S*T was, and I found Mizahar like this. And I've been stalking you guys for the past 3 days now. I didn't want to join at first because I'm going to be taking a 6-month hiatus from the end of next month onwards, but hey, there's still a month before then, so I might as well enjoy myself here first, right?

About my roleplaying now. S*T, which is my second home on the internet, is a free-form roleplaying forum, so it's a lot less structured than this one. We tried doing a continuous world system like this one, but it flopped. So I can say I'm not a stranger to roleplaying (I like to think that anyway) and I'm not a stranger to forums either, but I'm definitely very new to playing just 1 character per account. I was looking at the guidelines which said we can play up to 5 characters, and immediately, 4 characters had popped up in my mind, along with a whole lot of questions which I'd like to post here if I can. I think of many characters very quickly, you see. It's a quantity over quality thing, I must admit.

Questions. Of course. I'll see how many I remember.

1. If we're allowed 5 accounts per person, how do the staff members know that we're the same person behind them?
2. I notice that the staff members use an account named a "staff account". So does this mean that they'll have to create such an account once they become staff? Can't members create an account for OOC purposes only then? (So that I can shed the name Hadmycil)
3. Are we allowed to move from 1 region to another during the course of a roleplay, and if so, how do we do that?

I can't remember the other questions at the moment, but I'm sure they'll come to me soon when I start roleplaying (I think of things a step at a time). In the meantime, it'll be nice if someone came and took this newbie under his/her wing. =^w^=

Oh, P.S. I think the Linking Accounts function is the coolest in the whole wide world. I've always been a fan of phpBB.

Hey Hadmycil-

Welcome. I'll try to answer your questions. You are allowed up to five accounts hence five characters. If you don't like your account/character name we can change it before you begin gameplay.

1. We are admins. We can tell these things.
2. Yes, staff accounts are different than character accounts. They have access to modly powers that allow them to see a bit more about players and have some nifty commands to help run the game. No OOC accounts for OOC purposes.
3. Moving is fine and encouraged. You can just take the time to either roleplay a thread where you travel, or just leave a gap in your fluid time log long enough to account for the travel time. Liminal created a nifty distance chart in the Wiki so you can tell how long it takes to get from one place to another roughly.

Welcome to Mizahar! How should we call you then?

By the way, the fact that you can come up with multiple characters at the same time amazes me! Do you plan to start playing them all? You see, feeding all your creativity in one or two active characters can be really cool at a game like Mizahar, because you have countless opportunities of developing your char's background, abilities and interests. Anyway, it's your decision.

I laughed at Gossamer's answer to Question 1 (not a bad laugh, a good laugh). It's probably rude to guess, but I suppose it's something to do with the account's IP address? Over here in Singapore, all of us have dynamic IPs, so it may be hard to tell based on that. But I'll be sure to state clearly which accounts are mine.

Oh, and Alice, well, you can call me Hadmycil. It's probably easiest to remember. Maybe you guys will think of a better nickname for me in time to come, haha. As for the characters, well, I'm sure it's just a personal preference to come up with more than 1 or 2 characters at a time, rather than ability in any way. I make sure to give them enough air-time, so they should be suitably developed at the end of the day.

I've tried reading some of the Lore articles, and I've visited all the sub-forums here. I hope I don't mess up, for I'm quite prone to forgetting details. Thanks in advance for any help and guidance rendered.

Hello Satu! And yeah, I don't seem to see many Pycons around, though I haven't been looking into many places. But Pycons are so cute and curious. *squee*
