Wind Reach, Spring 23 507 AV
Norien was beyond excited. He was going to journey out into the world. His parents, both Avora hunters, scolded, pleaded and threatened him not to go. Norien of course didn't listen to them. He had rarely listened to his parents, choosing to do what he wanted to do, and damn the consequences. That character flaw had gotten him into enough trouble over the years that he started to occasionally listen to the little voice in his head telling him that some things were bad ideas. But, he had recently turned 18 years of age and was full of the confidence and pride of youth. He knew a little bit of healing, and he was already accomplished with a lute and Chala, an four stringed instrument of his own invention, so he figured he was ready to hop on a caravan and take on whatever the world could throw at him. But before he left Wind Reach, He needed a new glass bead for his single braid, his old one given to him by his mother having shattered recently. He had just gotten an extensive tattoo done not too long ago, and he needed the bead to finish his look. It covered his entire left arm with swirling, spiky designs and went down his left side and across his pectorals. He had taken to not wearing a shirt anymore to better display it, and he was significantly more than a little proud of it.
For that reason, he walked into the first glassblower's shop that he came across in the market. He walked right through the open door and ignored anyone who came by him, focused on the work that was displayed. He found that he rather liked....whoever's style this was. Rhaus damn him if he knew who it was, though. So it was that it had been quite some time before he felt the weight of the gaze that more than occasionally settled on him. He had grown semi used to people staring at him, his tattoo was a little over the top, even for an Inartan. But he liked it, and didn't care what people thought. He was an Avora, and only Endals' opinions really mattered. But the gaze repeatedly settled on him, and finally he turned around to see who it was.
She was standing by the counter, and when he saw her, Norien's brain froze for a second. Rhaus, she's beautiful, he thought to himself. After taking a second to mentally unstick his brain, he walked over to her, gave her his most winning smile and said, "Hi. Do you happen to know who's shop this is? I wanted to talk to the master about a special bead I need to make."
