[Riverfall Location] Nysel's Tower

The Dreamlord has a stronghold in Riverfall

Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

[Riverfall Location] Nysel's Tower

Though smaller than some, Nysel's Tower is a lovely fixture on the southern side of Riverfall's midtier. And though it is not open to the public, there are a pair of resident priest/esses of Zulrav present in case one needs to speak with the Dreamlord's minions. Made of pale stone carved in such a way as it shimmers when the sun hits it, the Dreamlord tower is perhaps one of the most ornate in Riverfall. Rising five stories into the sky it has a uniform shape all the way up and no outside stair like other towers in Riverfall are sometimes known to have.

The surface of the tower contains carvings that seem to shift and change in the light, depicting different things from moment to moment, almost like oil spilled on water slowly changes its pattern as it flows across water in the sunlight. No one is allowed entrance to the tower besides the followers of Nysel. The tower doesn't even have a doorway that allows folks within. Visitors to the tower must enter it as they enter Nysel's Temple in the Chavi and only they know how that works.

Still, the priests and priestess in residence are known throughout the city and can be found out and about on mundane tasks when they aren't tending the tower for Nysel. And while gardens surround the Tower, there is a large outdoor alter petitioners can come and leave offerings on. These offerings go to feed the clergy within, but are also taken serious by Nysel who will often effect the dreams of those with strong petitions.

Osdyn
Image
Name: Osdyn/Alvikin
Race: Akalak
DoB: 442 AV (70 YO)
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Dreamguide & High Priest
Skills: Dream Interpretation 78, Tarot 75, Unarmed 65, Glittern 45
Gnosis: Nysel +3, Avalis +2

Osdyn was a rare marked by birth Dreamwalker. He was walking Chavi before he could actually walk. And as such he understood the nature of his more suppressed side and so grew to age being a great deal more balanced than most. Osdyn and Alvikin work as one, probably one of the most united duo's in Riverfall outside of the Elder and Exalted Members who have had far more time in the world than he himself has to balance out their personalities. Osdyn likes to think things through where Alvikin is a man of action. Both routinely keep each other out of trouble and do a great deal for the community, mostly in the shadows, to help out youth facing difficult transitions into adulthood or facing families that can't give them as much as they need attention wise. Nysel's tower is in the shadow of the falls with many parks in close walking proximity. The Akalak pair often are found therein, enjoying the scenery or teaching a class to one or more or their students on faith or playing his Glittern.

Lera
Image
Name: Lera
Race: Eypharian
DoB: 477 AV (35)
PoB: Endrykas
Title: The Dark Lady, Priestess of Nysel
Skills: Hunting 43, weaving 40, Wilderness Survival 26, Longbow 15
Gnosis: Nysel +3, Akajia +1

Lera has had a hard life. Born among captured Eypharians in a zith colony, she escaped as a child to Endrykas where she was raised by the Ruby Clan in the Savantha Pavilion where Akajia marked her as a child. Later, she was captured by Akalak's when her hunting party was separated and she was left for dead with an injured horse. She came to live in Riverfall at that point under a Nakivak status and was able to work off her debt with two children before she earned her third mark and dedicated herself to Nysel's faith. Marked by Nysel and Akajia from an early age, Lera has an insatiable curiosity for nightmares, the macabre, and all things interesting and extraordinary.

Lera is not an easy person to talk too but her expertise on the dark side of dreams is phenomenal.

Visiting The Tower
Visitors can indeed come to the tower by appointment. They need to talk to one of Nysel's faithful. They will readily listen to people who have difficulty with dreams and will often volunteer to walk Chavi for them if they are looking for answers.

They ask for a small donation from everyone they help, but they leave the amount up to the individual and what they think they can afford.
