Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

15th Day of Summer, 512 AV

OOCThis is a work thread, but I would love to see some interaction from customer's. Come on, let's make this the worst day at work for Fela. So if you need anything at the Apothecary's feel free to jump in

Fela placed another jar on the shelf and watched the contents swirl around. Kirwen was still talking, probably yelling, but Fela had tuned him out sometime ago. It wasn't until she felt a berry ping off her head that she paid him any mind. Tensing her body she turned to face him. Yes? She left that one word out in the open, hanging, waiting for a response and cast him a bored look.

You know cat, he said the word like an insult, you should be thankful you still have a job. She resisted the urge to grin, no matter how many times he insulted her she just knew the ol' grump has a soft spot for her. It wasn't like anyone else could put up with him for long.He pushed on without waiting for a response - You're lazy, dirty, stupid, and way too cheerful - maybe when they say ignorance is bliss they met you first - but I keep you around because no one else would take pity on you, you stupid creature. He paused for breath, you and me both buddy...you and me both. She kept her thoughts to herself and let him finish.

Normally I would send you out for this but the particular supplier in question has a strong dislike of your kind. She quirked her eyebrows contemplating his words. Did he mean Kelvic? it wasn't like it was obvious, her teeth weren't even that pointy. Realizing he hadn't clarified he opened his mouth again, Women. Finds them disgusting and highly unusable for any kind of work. He would sooner tear you apart than do business with you. So for your sake I'll be picking up the order. I may not like you, but I do like having a moving target around here. He smiled at her, if smile is the word to be used. More like a sick twist of his lips that did not leave her feeling any sense of joy.

So today I want you to take care of the store...and please please please don't poison anyone. He rarely used the word please, but when he did it was always dripping with sarcasm. Today was no exception.

Fela gave him her brightest smile and an equally sarcastic salute.
Whatever you say, boss. Kirwen shook his head and headed for the door, his usual scowl painted across her face. Fela sighed and eyed the counter.

She examained her choices, she could tidy up the store - unlikely Kirwen would notice and if he did an even more unlike chance that he would be pleased about it, she could fill some of their orders for the next day - Kirwen would likely yell at her for screwing them up, or she could stand...and wait for someone to come in. The last option screamed of boredom, but it was still the safest route for her.

Fela let out a deep growl and hoisted herself up onto the counter-top and over, accepting her lot in life and stood patiently waiting.

Bob is a Speaker of Alvadas! Highly revered and respected by the populace for his work. Loved by children for giving them much needed entertainment at the expense of those who deserved it. He will not be intimidated by some man running an apothecary! He cannot be intimidated by some man running an apothecary. He should not be intimidated by some man running an apothecary... He... "Gah!" What was the point? The last time Bob tried going there he had to run away in a hurry. The man was insane! There was no telling what it is in those potions he was tossing around until it was too late. It was not like his uncle was here in Alvadas to help him from strange effects.

However he overheard how some of the other Speaker's jobs were made easier with the use of some of the potions. He already had a rough idea of what he wanted from them but...there was only one problem. Bob could not get over how crazy the man was. What if the man remembered him? He would have to run out again and this time one of those projectiles might hit unless...Bob came in looking as someone else! That day he was trying out his new coat so maybe he should go in as a Speaker. That was an excellent idea! Even if his disguise failed, the man would still think twice before taking a risk of attacking a Speaker. While having the man avoid him just like every other people In Alvadas would once they saw the uniform would be better, it was still his shop and if he was not there then there was no reason for Bob to be either.

The problem was that even with his uniform on, Bob did not look like the average Speaker. He needed to fix that. First things first he needed to see what he had to fix. After putting on the uniform he found the first problem. It was not even pressed. Completely the opposite of the extravagant lifestyle he was meant to portray. After a quick work of getting it pressed he found the second problem. His hat did not suit the gaudy colours of the uniform. "Its just one thing after another" he muttered to himself dissatisfied before tossing the hat aside. What else? Yes, the third problem...his hair was all flashy bright. Actually, that was a problem for himself. One easily fixed if he could get something to get the dye off in the apothecary. Now he felt that he looked right as a Speaker but there was still something amiss. Groaning, Bob started to shave off a little of his facial hair accumulated for over a season. Something he hardly did since it was quite troublesome.

It did not take too long for the Speaker, that now looks like an actual Speaker complete with his cleanliness and sharp clothes to find the apothecary. He waited a while at the front door before forcing himself to walk in and face whatever there was in store for him. Like the crazy man. Imagine his surprise when what he saw waiting for him was the strangest redhead he ever saw in his life, not that Bob has met any other redheads unless they were fakers with dyed hair like him. Strange for her was not entirely bad. It made her more interesting especially when Bob got curious about her mismatched eyes. Maybe the owner was doing some strange, evil experiments? That would be great for...revenge but that would have to wait.

He decided that there was no need for any introductions since his uniform would tell her everything anyone who lived in Alvadas needed to know. He got straight to business with putting on the fake happy airs of a Speaker with a "good afternoon. I'm looking for the things we normally get" or he hoped that it was so instead of some weird random Speaker who decided to use potions when all others did not. "Do you have any to recommend me?" because otherwise Bob would have to try describing what he wanted. Knowing how it turned out everytime he tried, he would be better of stating "oh, and I need something to remove hair dye" to reach the end of what he wanted to do today. Maybe get out of the uniform too since the mean man was not around.
