She has deep black hair, pale skin, and light purple eyes. Amina looks too plain to be considered beautiul, but she has a simple elegance that makes her fairly attractive. Everything about her is slender--from her long arms and legs to the fingers on her hands, and she looks very delicate. Her frame might be so, but just like any other Symenestra she was born a predator--which is made obvious by the fangs and claws. Her night-black hair is long and falls down to her waist, and she usually wears it down. Amina wears the light armor and wrappings of her kind under a long, black hooded cloak, which she uses to disguise herself as an old woman. She uses this disguise to travel in large crowds, as people tend to give her more room and pay her less attention. In this guise she walks hunched over and leans heavily on her staff, but in normal situations she carries herself tall and moves with the elegance of a cat. Amina's voice is quiet and has a soothing quality in it that makes people listen despite themselves. When speaking common her accent is only noticeable with consonants, as she softens them much more than a native speaker does, producing a less harsh tone. She tries to keep her lips closed as much as possible, including when she's smiling, because she doesn't want to show her fangs. Character Concept Above all, Amina prizes learning. She left her web in order to pursue her drive to discover new things and grow as an individual. Because her family are Esterians, she is more open to other races and wants to form connections with people from all different walks of life. She is fascinated by how others think and feel, and she loves observing people and learning from them. She worships Viratas, and believes that all races are connected by the red blood that runs through their veins. She tries not to kill needlessly. Amina was the independent black sheep of her web and never was able to form any bonds besides the ones with her family. She comes across as quiet and shy, but once she's comfortable with someone she'll gradually open up to them. She is extremely cautious around others because of what she is, but she prefers to be honest with people and will answer almost all questions with truth. Her sense of humor seems nonexistent at first, but soon you'll realize that she finds things funny without necessarily laughing out loud. She is loyal to the few she cares about and is trustworthy to a fault. Amina is driven by an insatiable curiosity and love of learning. She is very careful and always thinks things through,though, not letting her heart rule her head. She desperately wants to be accepted for who she is, and yearns to earn the trust of others despite being a Symenestra. Before she dies, she wants to become a respected scholar, but for now is content to wander and discover new things. Character History Amina was born into a web of Esterians, so she never knew her mother. As a child she was extremely quiet, and almost never cried. Instead she watched the world through wide eyes and silently observed the world around her. She was very independent and hated relying on anyone, learning to take care of herself at an early age. Her father raised her and her younger half-brother alone, and for this Amina holds much respect for him. She was never particularly close with both her brother and father, but views her family as being important just the same. At a young age, she learned to read, and as an experiment (just to see if she could), she taught herself how to be ambidextrous. She was a very bright child and her morals were leaps and bounds ahead of the other children in her web. When she was eight she accidentally killed a human who had snuck up on her while hunting, throwing up aferwords and having nightmares for months. It was then that she began to become aware of outsiders views on Symenestra, and decided to see if she could defy them. Amina waited until she was 18 before setting out and leaving her secluded web behind, hoping to prove that she wasn't just another killer.
