Anxiously, Blizzard silently walked down the street preventing her footsteps from being heard. She had told Shyam to pretty much wander the streets until he stumbled upon the Sanity Center since it was the only non-moving thing in the city and anyone could wander through the streets and find it sometime or another. Could take a few minutes or a few hours. This was exactly what she was doing. Following her own advice when she spotted the building.

She grinned slightly then walked over to the building with a grin. She looked forward to meeting Shyam again and help him with whatever 'illness' he was having. She didn't like the city the first few days either, but now, she enjoyed it's craziness. It was the only reason she was helping him after all since she knew what he was going through. The confusion part anyway.

Leaning up against the building, she tapped on the outer wall with ferocity yet it only made a slight tapping noise that one only a few yards could have heard unless they had highly sensitive ears like hers. She soon stopped then looked at her long nails Need to trim them soon. She looked around the streets for Shyam knowing it could take a few hours. In this city, Ionu liked pranks so maybe even days but wandering around finding the Sanity Center didn't require as much skill as trying to find another building. She huffed then picked up a large piece of wood probably thrown around from the Djed Storm. She examined it with a hard eye then tossed it aside.

Wonder if I should shift into snow leopard form so he'll see me. She contemplated this idea, then decided not to. It'll probably raise some real good questions and he might be freaked out being a new comer to the city. With this thought she also thought of how he was feeling. This illness? She wasn't hurting like he described. She was just confused. Maybe other people had different reactions than others? Maybe it was just his head messing with him? Or it might could be an illusionist playing a prank on him but that was unlikely.

Turning Illness to Happiness (Shyam)

Postby Shyam Kuromiya on July 16th, 2012, 3:36 am

Feeling crappy as always Shyam wandered through the city. He tried to remember where Blizzard had told him to meet her. Looking at a wall near by, he walked over to it and stopped to look around. Through the pounding headache he had, Shyam started to make a random plan on how to get to the Sanity Center. I have been walking forwards for awhile now and a centre should always be in the centre, logically thinking and if I continue going this way with a slight in ward turn i should stumble upon it sooner or later. God this plan is so stupid and full of holes but whatever.

He contemplated running through the city. His stamina was enough to keep him going if he ran flat out for an hour or so but, with the way he was feeling he could possibly only manage 5 minutes maximum then he would drop to the ground gasping like a fish. Nahh not worth it. I will walk. He whistled a tune that his mother had taught him, wishing Aesir was here. His falcon friend would have given him a birds eye-view and helped him somewhat.

After walking for a bit he noticed that the city was behaving. He almost cried in belief when he realized that he was back in the Insanity Centre. THANK YOU Varies. Feeling slightly better now, he straightened up, looking around fro Blizzard. He noticed a random piece of wood flying from the side of the building. Hoping that he wasn't seeing things Not like its the first time..., Shyam walked towards it turning at the corner to find Blizzard waiting in all her impatient elegance.

Hello. Sorry I took so long. I had to take a few breaks to question my sanity and to keep my lunch down.... Ignore the second part.

OOCNice length ;)

Her grin widened once she saw him "Nah don't worry about it. We all do ever so often. Especially in this crazy place." She ran a hand through her golden hair then smiled "Shall we begin?" she chuckled then grabbed her pack from the ground, slinging it across her shoulder. Her white dress billowed in the sudden breeze of wind that died down shortly afterwards.

"How are you feeling so far? Any better from yesterday?" She said this with care and a soft smile. Her stone greyish blue eyes turning from cold to warmhearted which would be the first in a while. Blizzard's confusion of the city was slowly beginning the dwindle away to the point where she was beginning to understand fairly well.

"Guess we should begin our... rehabilitation? Haha." she said this jokingly then took a deep breath "Now this lovely building behind me would be the Sanity Center. This is the only building in Alvadas that's location doesn't change. If you need a breather or need to make sure your gears are still working properly, this is the place to go," she laughed "But I haven't actually been inside and don't really need to. If you have enough common sense, you should be able to handle it fairly well."

Blizzard racked her mind for any more helpful hints that she could give him "Now, besides that, I'm gonna teach your golden eyed self to enjoy the city's strange beauty." She gingerly put her arm on his shoulder in a friendly manner "Really now. How many people get the chance to be in a ever-changing city full of fun illusions? You must first laugh at the pranks and illusions to enjoy them. Once you enjoy them, the false hurt you feel will soon go away!"

Now, a few seasons back Blizzard herself would've never thought she would end up playing childish games and enjoying these silly illusions. Yet, here she was in this game she quite enjoyed.

Affected by her cheerful warm manner, Shyam smiled and relaxed considerably. Although the headache was still doing a dance in his head he could concentrate quite well. His thought seemed clearer and more organized. I am feeling better. Not perfect but better. Maybe because of you. I do not know why but. I felt better after meeting you. He looked at the insanity Centre from the corner of his eye. So you are gonna be one of my few saviours in this city. Who would have thought.

Realizing that Blizzard was a fluent Common speaker he thought it would be best that he tell her immediately that his Common wasn't as good as her's. Sorry but... speaking Common is.... Hard. A bit confusing. I understand what you say but, speaking is hard... He trailed off blushing slightly. He hoped he wasn't making a fool of himself. The arm on his shoulder was reassuring.

This will not be a problem? And I will learn to.... like this city. So that she is nice to me. So she doesn't give me headaches.

Blizzard smiled at him thoughtfully "Good to hear. It's probably the craziness wearing off so you're off to a good start." Hearing that he wasn't a fluent common speaker she shrugged her shoulders "Well I don't suppose you speak Vani," she scratched her head "But it's fine and shouldn't be a problem at all. As long as we can both understand each other I think we're good. May I ask what language you speak fluent?"

She was curious. After almost every person she had met, this had to be the most curious case. But in Alvadas, that was bound to change. She sighed then began walking forward "So if you look at the buildings, they change ever so often. This is something I enjoy personally since it's never same ole same ole. A little change never hurt anybody and makes a perfect punishment for drunkards trying to get home," she warmly laughed "Another reason I love the forever changing buildings. When you've had an experience like me, it really makes you laugh."

She cleared her throat as her high boots made contact with the cobbled streets. "Now once you open your eyes completely, you'll soon understand the strange beauty of the city and it'll make you realize Alvadas isn't bad at all. It just likes to have fun and pull a few pranks every now and then." Blizzard grinned as the buildings changed again. The Withering Rose was to the right of her now. Clearly pointing out the restaurant she explained it "That place is just plain crazy. If you don't feel like getting in a fight do not sit at a table with a black rose."

I speak Nari. My father is... was from Inarta. My mother spoke Nari too. So I learnt Nari mostly. But my mother said I must learn Common. But she couldn't..... finish teaching. He looked at the building that had appeared in front of. He heard breaking glass, shouts, roars laughter and all kinds of other kinds of sounds. It seemed like a place for people to enjoy themselves.

Is a black rose bad? How do I get home if the building moves? Do the streets move as well? Shyam, closed his eyes for a second. He breathed in the smell of the area. If not only the buildings move but the scent I should be able to find where I need to go if I search for it by smell. He thought of ways to find where he needed to go.

Looking back at the Sanity Center, he checked which direction he was moving in. This gave him at least some sort of orientation. Smiling at Blizzard he asked What experiences did you have in this building? The Withering Rose you said?

When he spoke of his mother not being able to finish teaching him she huffed "I know the feeling all too well. My mother taught me the basics of hunting, then abandoned me. In the Northern Wastes!" she shook her head then huffed again "Anyways." she said quickly changing the subject.

Her eyebrows drew together "My Gods, when I said 'Any Questions?' I didn't mean flood me with them! Just kidding, it's fine." she popped her neck "A black rose is very bad and it means that the night will take a violent turn. I can testify to this," she paused her quick paced walking "The streets do change. If your in your inn one night then walk out and take a left you could find yourself at the Sanity Center. A few chimes later, you could take that same left and end up on a street of fire, water, or even fur. To get home, you literally wander the streets until you find it."

Blizzard's face turn expressionless for a small amount of time while answering his questions "You could see your house then run for it and if Ionu's in a prankster mood, your house could change location right before you touch the door." This wolf Kelvic liked questions and obviously liked answers. She felt that soon enough he would ask a question not even herself would be able to answer. And there it was "Although I'm not sure if the streets move, I'm pretty sure the layout changes. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the very cobbled street we're on changes form every now and then."

He asked about her experiences in the Withering Rose and Blizzard's expressionless face became stone cold. Her warm vibrant vibe shut off almost instantaneously "The food was exceptionally well. However, I will never enter that place again without an exceptionally large male friend." she swallowed hard "Not sure if it'll happen to you, but when someone pulls a chair up to your table, and there's a black rose, leave with no questions asked. Got into a small bar fight then left. Not a pleasant experience at all."

Turning Illness to Happiness (Shyam)

Postby Shyam Kuromiya on July 16th, 2012, 7:44 pm

Shyam saw that she had misunderstood him when he said his mother couldn't teach him, but it was better to leave it alone then to correct her. He contemplated asking her to escort him into the building but it seemed that her last experience there was anything but enjoyable.

Who is Ionu? A God? If the streets don't change their position, then, I can make a map of them right? I can find my way around... Without much problems. Only confusing thing is the buildings... Maybe I should start making a mental map of where we are, better yet a written map. Could be helpful. He scratched his head, planning mentally. He put these thoughts to the side where he could use them later.

You said we could find help? Do you know the way out. Soon I want to go back to my home. The forests. Just a bit. I also need to find Aesir.

"No one knows if Ionu is a God or Goddess. It remains a mystery yet to be resolved. And like I said, I'm not sure if the streets change or not. I do know they aren't always on fire, aren't always furry, etcetera. So all in all, I don't think a map would be a very good idea," she shrugged her shoulders "But then again, what do I know?" Ionu was a true prankster. She loved how he/she always kept things changing.

Blizzard was disappointed inside when he said he wanted to leave for his home. She thought she might had found a potential friend she could hang out with. Everyone else she had met were just acquaintances she'd seen once. This was the first person she'd made plans to meet up with twice in the city. Her warm smile soon faded to a slight frown which then turned into nothing. She bit her lip "The Gaping Maw is the only exit of the city. Just walk your way around the wall and sooner or later you'll find it."

Her voice wasn't as joyful as before, but she did lighten it up a bit. She began thinking to herself Be nice. yet, she fell silent. She smiled once more as the buildings changed again. She looked back at the Withering Rose's old location to a rundown home. Blizzard continued her steady pace then looked at the ground. The once cobbled street was no longer cobbled, but was furry. She bent down to touch it, feeling the smoothness. It wasn't like her fluffy fur, but it was smooth. Yet, still rough. "Quite amazing, is it not?"

Turning Illness to Happiness (Shyam)

Postby Shyam Kuromiya on July 16th, 2012, 9:46 pm

Do you know an Inn? I need a place to stay. But I need to get my stuff from home. If Blizzard was right Aesir should be safe in this city. But with the changing scenery it could prove to be confusing. If the streets that were dangerous were only in one place then he should be alright. If I stay in one place he should be able to find me. This should be good enough.I guess if I move in only one direction I should be able to find the city wall.

Feeling slightly anxious, and having reached his limit of being able to stay in the city, Shyam did what his father taught him to do when he was angry. He lowered his eyelids and looked down at the ground. He looked at the floor as it passed under him. He clenched his right fist and relaxed it multiple times while listening to the sound of his heart beating. He counted along with it and eventually his anxiety faded. His headache became receded into a dull ache that was alot more bearable then the sharp pain that he had felt before.

Do you also know a place where.... people fight. I need to run and fight. I need fun and... training. Do you also know where I can find a place with a lot of books, or a temple. Maybe a teacher... I am looking for something.
