[Priskils spire] A problem of rats

oocThis is a job thread I might post here again dont know for sure and i might edit for i havent re-read it.

19st summer 512AV Larknas was on his way to the Spire to work the old quarter ain't as far as other areas from the docks its a bit more than a couple minutes walk without a fast pace. Still today he was almost running throughout the streets ignoring the people and the rest. Some days ago when he first came to work were interesting some of the doves had bred whilst others had already laid eggs as he had seen and like a little child, he couldn't wait for the eggs to hatch ever since he was a kid with the Avikki bird's. He missed them a bit,but he smiled as he snapped out of his thought's, he had reached Priskils spire. Entering he saw Farren Loftus "Good morning" said Larknas "what oh good morning Larknas you are a bit early not all are here also let me remind you that-" he paused a moment "hmm i forgot oh well nevermind go check the doves and re-fill the feed on some of them i will come later if its something very important" Larknas just nodded and ascended the spire till he reached the second floor where most recently nested doves were. Cheking the most female doves were sitting over their eggs normally nothing special here everything seems ok all are calm water needs refilling but other than that it seems someone else refilled their food Larknas was surprised feeding and cleaning the cages was his job for now and maybe after some time have a hand in training them. Oh well he shrugged and returned to checking all the pair's it was a bit tedious but he came now and then to some hatched doves that maked it up for him. Time passed quickly as he finished checking them for now all breeding pair's were there he just had to check on some younging's. Larknas moved to the next floor where non mated yet pairs were kept at for now time to feed and clean he dint enjoy the cleaning aspect still some sanitation was needed. Taking some rags they had for this purpose, he swept the aviary it was boring but surely there were even more boring stuff to do. But he get's to work with birds and that was the reason for being here in the end snapping out of it, he continued his work till he came upon some blood and a half dead bird it seemed something had wounded it as the blood seemed to have dried off. Running up he saw that Loftus coming up "Sir i need your help one of the doves is wounded" Loftus expression changed as he quickly followed Larknas to the infirmary he placed the wounded bird at a table there carefully as it was examined by Loftus he bandaged its legs and one of its wings it shouldn't be able to move for a whille.Loftus thought for a while before speaking "i will place it on a cage for safety it might have been a rat now lately our problems got bigger it seems like some have entered the spire hrm one of these days we will need to find where they are coming off and seal the whole for now kill any rats you find we will see what we are gonna do". With this the priest returned to his duties and Larknas checked the rest of the floors for wounded Doves, he was relieved not to find any still he had to clean them up and check up some of them who came from afar in case they picked anything up. Suddently an idea dawned on Larknas what if he poisoned the rats it would be perfect! he ran down the floors carefully and fast if such a thing was possible in the spire.The priest was taking care of the injured bird he looked up to Larknas as he entered to see what he wanted, he coughed a bit taking a breath before speaking "boss i got an idea what if we poisoned the rats? some bait and poison would do the trick" the priest seemed to think for a moment as he let the dove down "well yes i will see to it its a good idea and since you dint ran down from the top with any dead or injured birds all the breeding pairs are fine?" Larknas nodded "This they are boss a couple were frightened tho i think the rats tried to enter their nesting place but failed even if i dint notice any holes in their fencing i am going to clean them up now Sir" the priest smilled and nodded as Larknas left as he wondered about him hrm the priest is a friendly fellow moving on Larknas had to clean the cages a relative easy task but one needs to be swift and take care not to scare any birds resting the last thing needed was to make them even more nervous. Larknas took the cleaning supplies and moved on to cleaning the cages carefully it was a relative easy task were it not so tiring on the nerves having to be carefull not to scare the birds two chimes later the cages were all cleaned up, but by now they had been dirty again, but he knew that the birds were being birds such was the truth he descented the stairs again and placed the tools and supplies in the closet. It had been a long day he needed a small break but no rest for him yet he had more things to do the work never seems to end he agreed silenty with his thought it was the truth to him this day itself dint seem to end either.
