I hale from the bounds of Wind Reach and have found a joy in its little pleasures; however, such things have yet to quench my thirst for life. If fate shall have its way with me, I will welcome it with open arms. I assume that makes me slightly rash, but I take pride in that and in many things in my life, which - matched with my trend to be quick to action - can lead me into disaster on a normal basis. Most elders would call me such things as silly and immature but they simply do not understand what it means to crave adventure. To feel the quake in your bones to be moved into excitment and risk. Yet, to leave Wind Reach would mean to be disowned by my people and cast away. So while this need is something I keep in secret, I know that even if I remain I want my life to mean something. To be a blessing upon this world in my actions, not in petty words and gossip. It may seem selfish, but I pray that my name will be haled in our history books as a lionheart. Yet until my feet find their way from this mountain, I fear I may never see such a day. Until then, I pray and practice. Let my future eagle's wings be fast and my arrow true.
While my life has been a simple one, I do have certain qualities in which I have been able to harness. Due to my family's connections, most of my skill remains within the ability to produce wooden bows for the hunters of our people; although, my desire is to become one of our great eagle riders. It is the closest thing I can hope for in such a small society and has caused me to venture and hunt. While my skills are still limited, I do try my best and fear nothing but my own defeat.
Socially, I like to believe I live a balanced life with people and without. Most of my outings have been independent of other company but I soon hope to remedy that. Blood relatives are around often enough, yet they do not play a large role in my life other than to pressure me into settling down early and sticking to my hand-oriented craft. Through my childhood they forced me to learn the art of the bow-crafting, which, as you can imagine, is just riveting. That being said, I was taken in as an apprentice three years ago as a carpenter. It is the reason of my life currently. That excludes my hunting outings that I take after hours. It was this desire to hunt that has angered my teacher on several occasions and explains the reason for my brand.
During the first year of my training, I hadn't returned to his keep in time. Truth was, I was lost in the mountain side after one of my hunting expaditions. After three days of wandering, I finally stumbled back onto our village and to the disappointed eye of my master. In turn, he decided to punish me and make sure I always knew my place. There he branded me with an eagle, to mock me for my desire to ride one. While the pain was horrid, it was worth it. Truth is, I love it.
