“We can be friends,” Ronan said softly, knowing all too well, friends had to stand the test of time, not merely greet each other.
He watched the exchange quietly thereafter. He bowed his head for a moment at the mention of Oriana’s curse. It had been a hard year, no doubt about it. But the Drykas path was never easy.
He gave Mealla a glance that could mean anything when she spoke. She didn't know her place, that much was evident. But still, there was a spark of something exciting within her. She would learn in time. He looked to Sam to see if he would silence her.
The pavilion was a strange one. All manner of people had come together to rebuild Sam’s legacy. It was not such a shock to now view this Kelvic entering their encampment. Ronan had a funny feeling the man would end up a part of their group before long. There was a magnetism to Sama’el’s warmth - whether he liked it or not. |
