Basic Information Race:Pycon Birthday & Age :4, 88 summer 506 AV Gender: Female Physical Description Paisley currently takes a child-like appearance, but unlike most children she has the elegant limbs and lean look of all pycons. However, her shape also includes a spaghetti-strap dress that also carries a childish charm. To expand on the child-like image, she also appears to bare foot. She is mostly light gray with brownish red bits in her hair, which takes the appearance of a short, curly do. Her eyes are blank and match the light gray of most of her body. Finally She is 9” tall and weighs about ten pounds. Character Concept Paisley like all pycon is very curious and has an urge to travel, but a couple years into her travels she is also fascinated by all things rare, like relic monsters, Magecrafted objects and other treasures. However her curiosity of rare items is not for greed, but knowledge; like most pycon she wants to learn as much as possible and make a mark on the world before her very short lifetime ends and she will go anywhere to get that knowledge, even if there is quite a bit of risk involved. For instance she would like to one day travel to Falynder of all places and see what treasures she can discover there. She is the type of pycon that does not want to retire from travelling since there is always something new to learn or master. However she is also very childish and has a tendency to throw a fit if something doesn’t goes her way, such as a vender not being willing to haggle. She also gets very frustrated easily with things such as skills, but she rarely gives up on anything completely, although many things she started have been put on hold indefinitely. This is especially common when something more interesting catches her attention. Paisley hates to be alone and grows attached to new people easily and hates to see new companions leave; in fact even if she has known a person only a few days she feels depressed for a couple days after their departure. Because she hates being alone, she is quite a loyal companion and over-worries about any companion that joins her. Despite her very complex personality few people are with her long enough to see through her innocent demeanour and often mistake her constant questions, due to her natural curiosity, for woeful naivety. It doesn’t help that her treasure hunting often leads her into tumbling and getting stuck in small spaces such as baskets on the back of merchant carts. Character History Paisley remembers little about her life before she sat out to explore the world, since she left home and Sylira immediately, Py-string in hand, after reaching the age of six months. One thing she can remember though was that her mother was a fantastic storyteller, which is why she left so quickly after she matured. However her mother’s stories focused on the worlds she had visited, Paisley’s treasure hunting didn’t begin until a year into her travels. She was visiting Cyphrus and happened across the Endrykus. She was drawn to a book seller due to a pycon’s natural thirst for knowledge. On display was a gilded book with the title Ancient Treasures of Mizahar. The book was about the size of an encyclopaedia so Paisley had to ask the vender to open the book for her so she could look at it. He obliged and Paisley stepped onto the book and looked at the illustrations, since she had yet to learn to read, but they were enough to peak her interest. The vender noticed her interest and reached under his booth to pull out a pocket-sized book entitled The Treasure-Hunter’s Field Guide. It was lighter and about three inches tall. It only had black and white sketches of the known treasures of Mizahar, but it was good enough for Paisley and she purchased what would become her most prized possession. Paisley spent the rest of the next year in the Cyphrus region, seeing what treasures she could uncover, going by sketches alone to guess where treasures might be found. Naturally she didn’t find anything and wound up stuck in many a small, unpleasant space trying to almost blindly search for treasure. This led her to detest small spaces with a passion. Eventually she reached the conclusion that she needed to learn how to read so she could know for sure where treasures could be found. This led her to travel back to Sylira where she learned about the Zeltiva College from a kind human merchant that she attached herself to, when he noticed she had no place to stay. The merchant taught her the basic common alphabet, but that was as far as his book intelligence could take him. He even took her to Zeltiva since he had things he needed to bring there anyway. On the trip to Zeltiva the merchant decided Paisley needed a name, and he dubbed her Paisley. Much to her sadness he left a few days after they arrived. It took two weeks before Paisley was out of depression long enough for her to enroll herself in Zeltiva University. She learned how to read and write decently, but her attention span was short and she found herself skipping lessens to explore the city and practice Py-ken. She stayed there for two years, and explored every inch of the city. With nothing left to explore and her wanderlust growing everyday she decided that it was about time she restarted her journey and treasure hunting.
