Character Sheet | Davakiyr Delonix Basic Information Name: Davakiyr Delonix Race: Symenestra Age: 17 Birthday: 60th day of Winter 494 A.V. Physical Appearance ![]() Facial: He has pale, ashen skin that is more transparent than what is typical of the Symenestra. His cheekbones are angular and his forehead is high, marking potential wisdom. His eyes are deep-set and a rounded almond shape with the skin crease at the edge of his eyelid folding down past his eyes. His irises are a bright amethyst with small flecks of vibrant reds like the color of the oxygen-rich blood he delivers to Viratas. His pupils are true black and – due to his increased rod cell count – accustomed to the dark, capable of reading the small scripts of his study material in environments limited in light. His nose is long and thin and centered on a gaunt face. His nostrils are slightly flared up to reflect a day when his proud race may have walked on all fours. He has soft, pale lips and a gentle smile his mother always described as “Barja kivè” (literal: “like clean blood”; common: “beautiful and pure”). His teeth and fangs are well-maintained and dazzlingly white. His chin does not extend past his jaw but instead smoothly ends his face without much notice. His hair is stringy and a little greasy, a shock of black that rubs against his cheek bones. It fades to just an inch in length at the sides and in the back. Body: Fully erect, he stands at 6’2” with 120lbs of lean muscle and fragile, hollow bone. He has an obvious absence of body fat, but due to his muscular arrangement, does not appear to be malnourished or sickly. His arms are long and slender, reaching just below his knees. The grayish pigmentation displays a mass of interlocking argentine veins. His muscle sits tightly against the bone like strapped armor. His claws are inkwell black, well-groomed and a full inch in length – save for his shortest toes where they have broken off from intense running. He has a number of faint, silvery scars on his forearms from where he has drawn blood to offer to Viratas in the past. Raiment: He wears silks wrapped tightly to his body, the robes coming to just cover the tips of his nails. His exoskeleton is worn close to his chest. The sides of the armor are woven with a flexible material to allow deep breathing. The robes are pleated to allow a full range of motion in his upper and lower body, given that it is more beneficial for his race to be able to escape a blow than allow the armor to take the impact. The material is thin enough that it does not restrict him from climbing walls. Character Concept: Davakiyr is observant and a quick learner from years of studying. He loves to read in both Common and Symenos and can often be found lying on his floor with fruit stuck between his fangs. He drinks the juice while reading his books. He is soft spoken and shy around strangers. His other hobby is running. He can run for hours a day. As a child he would sneak out anytime he could at night and run around above the city. He has grown aware of his surroundings and can quickly react to obstacles in his way while running. He is very religious and believes in protecting life. He is not against Surrogacy, but, he believes that even the Surrogates should undergo surgery to prevent their deaths. Having known his mother growing up he believes that all of them should be saved. He is well versed in the Viratassa and conducts all of the blood ceremonies except for the sacrificing of animals or pets. Character History The first weeks after his birth he had left his mother bed ridden and he was oddly silent. His parents held constant fear he was going to die and did not understand why he was so quiet as a child. He learned to move at the same rate as any other child did, and his first words came at the right time. The years up until school were filled with stories and passages from the Viratassa. (Read to him by his mother) He loved the stories and was always excited to hear more about Viratas. By the time school had started he had already learned many of the lessons of Viratas. His mother had taken him every year since birth to the Swiata vo Viratas (The festival of Viratas) and up until the age of 5 she had helped him make his cut and donate his blood to the god. From then on out he donated his own blood. Davakiyr felt his first grief a month after his twelfth birthday when his mother died giving birth to his sister, Salakey. She had survived his birth and wanted to be the actual parent to both of her children. His father did not really agree with this, but, accepted it because it was her wish. His father stopped working for a couple of months to attend the ceremony where his wife was placed in the Temple of Viratas, and recover from his loss. His father's job was nothing particularly hard. He sorted documents at the library in Kalinor. He had occasionally helped him when he his father had to work on one of his off days. Davakiyr finished all of his years of public education at the age of 15 and had been helping his dad out around home. His father just recently obtained a home for Davakiyr to live on his own and start his own family. On the 1st of Fall 512 AV his father gave him his new home and began helping him clean it up. Davakiyr was now looking for work and awaiting the Harvests.
