"Sailing" and "Zeltiva" are synonymous in the world of Mizahar. With much of their knowledge and facilities still present following the destructive Valterrian, Zeltiva found themselves at a monumental advantage over the rest of the world in respects to naval technology and understanding. There is no wonder then why they have established without heed an undeniable monopoly over the waters of Mizahar. Every well-made ship, without fail, even the best of the Svefra fleets, were pieced together by the talented members of the Sailors' Guild of Zeltiva.

The Guild meticulously oversees all trade routes spanning the globe, and works as the only notable martial presence on the ocean, taking full responsibility for quelling the attempts at piracy over the centuries.

This summons more than just prestige for The Guild, but sets an undeviating precedent for all sailors, craftsmen, merchants, martial officers, and navigators that wish to grace the seas and ocean. To sail with any notice, prestige, or safety one must become an associate of the Sailors' Guild of Zeltiva. This costs no annual fee, nor a joining fee. In fact, the Sailors' Guild, despite their undeniable power over the trade of Zeltiva, show benevolent sophistication in their dealings, demanding only a fair tax on goods that enter Zeltiva itself.

Though being an Associate of the Sailors' Guild is a requirement for any sound crew it is not an honor given without true display of codependency. For those that wish to be the wind propelling the Sailors' Guild forward, to be one day recognized as an emblem of the great construct, they must begin with humility and dedication. Apprenticeship is demanded for new members to prove their worthiness of title and to grace the waters autonomously. To become this apprentice one must convince a Guild Member associate or better to sponsor and train you, certified with a signed letter to Zeltiva. Not until one proves to this individual that their skills are competent at worst will they become an Associate themselves and win the protection of The Guild, their graces, a right to prestige, and most importantly the right to independent trade work in your exceptional skills. Be that navigation, leadership, or construction (etc.)

Though many comfortably remain at this level, making a fair standard of mizas per year, some few in the many excel beyond this. If one's leadership is strong enough (at least expert) they may gather a crew, and fly their own flag. In this act, with written graces of the committee, they become full members of The Sailors' Guild of Zeltiva, and open avenues for much more lucrative business. At this stage one's ship may be treated as a personal business, and a lucrative business plan may be put together for approval by Gillar.

A position at a committee member wins a life time of prestige and money for only a few years of dedicated work. These are positions for only masters of leadership, with multiple accompanying skills of competent or higher.

All of these stages, however, have been know to be circumvented in the past. Kenabelle Wright, for example, was a full member at fifteen years old. The Guild is always watching for those exceptional individuals that sail their seas.
